    Quick question for wheels.

I have a 1980 Corvette with factory aluminum wheels. The clear coat paint was looking dull so I used paint stripper to remove it. There is not much you can do to clear coat that looks dull. Now the wheels are bare aluminum and have a nice shine to them. Look as good as chrome. Tried alot of...

Finally, A Tire Dressing Applicator I Like

I found these brush applicators at O'Rieley's auto parts. Purchased 2, had to have a spare. I really like them over a pad applicator. Easily get the dressing into all the lines of a tire's sidewall.

What's the strongest auto shampoo that...

I am not positive that alcohol will remove sealant and wax but this is the method I use. I put on a coat of wax after cleaning off the sap just to be sure. Tree sap is some tough stuff to remove. Clay bar and polishing is another option but this will surely strip off any sealant or wax.

What's the strongest auto shampoo that...

The problem sounds like tree sap. I would try a 50-50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and demineralized water in a spray bottle. Second thing to do is try not to park under trees. Third suggestion is to buy a car cover after you get the spots removed.

    Sears, What Went Wrong...

Sears is behind the times. They just don't advertise and offer the deals that their competiors offer. The big home improvent stores have better quality tools and appliances. Customer service seems to be outscourced to India. There repair service makes customers wait 2 weeks for a tech to come...

    Dealer decal

A plastic credit card works well to remove the logo if it is made of some kind of tape. Then wipe residue off with WD- 40.

That is truly amazing work on a amazing car. My wife's first car was that exact car. A 1970 blue Nova SS, 350, 4 speed. She would be thrilled to own that one! Glad to see that there are still a few around.

    Sticky steering wheel

Used dish soap and water to wipe down my steering wheel. This worked well to get rid of the stickey surface. Thank's for your the suggestion Mike.
