CarPro Hydro2 Foam haze the day after...

So I picked up some Hydro2 Foam and really like the results. The paint feels smooth and overall I'm very pleased. I have two issues that I've encountered though. 1: The roof rack rails on my Subaru have discolored and are no longer black. They look faded and weird. I'll have to get a photo...

    Looking to replace Porter Cable

SO the way Im taking it is that the Rupes is the next "step" I should look at over the PC. Im surprised the Flex is so much more expensive though. Rupes 21ES is $320, and the Flex starts at $390. I would have thought the Rupes to be more expensive?

    Looking to replace Porter Cable

Is one or the other better for darker paints? Ive read people like the Rupes for black cars and the Flex for lighter colors. I have 2 black, 1 grey, and 1 white car. Which will I be less tired with? And is there a performacne difference for the forced rotation and long throw?

    Looking to replace Porter Cable

My first buffer I bought was a Makita. I used it twice and decided I didnt like it. I just sold it over the weekend. My go to for the past few years is my Porter Cable, but now Im ready do move up to something a bit better/faster/dangerous. I keep hearing the flex is where I should go, is that...

Prepping a brand new car for the winter.

I used the 400 on my Prius which is 8yrs old and had never been polished. It worked great. Not sure Ive really figured it out as I had a lot of dusting and people state that it doesnt produce much dust. Ill order myself a new orange pad. My last one started falling apart on me prematurely. I...

Prepping a brand new car for the winter.

So we just bought a black (I know) 17 GTI. It came equipped with swirl marks and bird poop etching from the dealer, which Im pretty sure I paid extra for. Ive never detailed a brand new car before and wanted to make sure i didn't do anything I shouldn't, and that I knew what pads I need to use...

Looking to switch from CG to a new brand for all steps.

So far, here's most of what's been recommended: Ill probably pick up the Menzerna and HD to start off with. The Meguairs is def the most cost/volume though. As well as the CarPro stuff. Menzerna Super Finish (SF-3500) 8 oz. Menzerna Heavy Cut Compound 400 8 oz. FG400-8 Menzerna Jescar Power...

Looking to switch from CG to a new brand for all steps.

So far it looks like Menzerna and 3D are the two most recommended products. Im a fan of the PoorBoys Bird Sh#t remover. Is there a better product? Also looks like I need some more soap as well. Was thinking about trying PoorBoys. And my IronX spray bottle is all gunked up, do they sell...

Knowing nothing of MF pads, can you recommend? I was surprised to see that the recommend a grey finishing pad for the SF3500. What color should be used for the 400? Yellow or Orange?

Looking to switch from CG to a new brand for all steps.

So far looks like the Menzerna is the winner lol. For headlights, in the past I've used the $12 (sale price) 3m kit with the sandpaper. I need to clean 4 headlights, 2 of which our heavily oxidized. Should I go with the same kit? I still have some heavy grit 3m sanding disks left.

Looking to switch from CG to a new brand for all steps.

Few years ago I spent way too much money and bought boxes of different Chemical Guys products to try out. Few years later and I've thrown bottles away that I hated working with. To date the only CG product I still love is JetSeal and swear by it. Anyway its a new year and I'm looking to buy...
