Looking to switch from CG to a new brand for all steps.

Or you could go with HD Adapt and Poxy and call it a day at two steps LOL.

Yeah...you don't hear too much about Poorboys. Their microfibers are nice, too.

Yup. I got started in detailing with Poorboys lineup. The SSR polishes work great and you're right about their microfiber.

I bought some Shine Supply classic cut from california and it seems to be decent. Still havent bought menzerna but wanting to try it....

While i also am a Menzerna fanboy, my only question would be...what specifically about CG products don't you like?

Nothing in particular. I jumped on that bandwagon years ago and I'm ready to try new things.:props:

So far it looks like Menzerna and 3D are the two most recommended products.

Im a fan of the PoorBoys Bird Sh#t remover. Is there a better product?

Also looks like I need some more soap as well. Was thinking about trying PoorBoys.

And my IronX spray bottle is all gunked up, do they sell replacement plastic nozzles?

CG Honey Dew Snow Foam and Citrus Wash & Gloss are still two of my go to's. Duraglosse's washes are awesome too.

Yes on the PB BS remover, PB Spray and Wipe Waterless Wash and HD Touch are a tie for me.

Menzerna or 3D, these are my 2 go-to products. everything that isn't coated gets Powerlock!

+1 on Menzerna, I like Wolfgang swirl remover also..

I have been hearing good things about Shine Supply Classic Cut, but have not tried it yet.

Well, I have not used many CG products but the ones I used I was less than impressed by... so my guess is, no matter what you choose will be an Improvement.

That being said, since you are in the process of changing products, I would suggest you replace your sealant with a coating. McKee's 37 coating is 30$ for a bottle and you can do 5 vehicle with it. It will give you a protection of 2 years instead of 6 months for a sealant like Powerlock (which I believe is one of the best sealants on the market).

As far as products go, everyone seems to swear by Menzerna. I personally use Meguiars and I love them. Their retail line (Ultimate compound and polish) are in my book better than their pro line (M105/M205). But I use both since they have different cutting ability so it depends on the condition of the paint.

If you are a one brand kind of guy, I think you can't go wrong with Meguiars. If not, I think Menzerna offer better polishes, Meguiars offer better cleaning products (APCs, rinseless/waterless wash, car soaps, dressings, quick waxes) and McKee's 37 seems to me like the best bang for the buck in terms of coatings and coating prep as well as headlight restoration AIO.

Here's what I've been sticking to:

1. FG400, SF3500 (formerly SF4000), Powerlock
2. HD Adapt, HD Polish, Powerlock (or HD Speed AIO)
3. CarPro Essence.

Got rid of m105, m205, IP2000, FF3000, Wolf's Jeweler, XMT.

I have Rupes UHS and Ultra Fine -- use them for spot things with my Mini. I went crazy with the polishes until I found that I liked the FG400/SF4000 combo and the HD Speed (or HD Adapt/Polish).

I'll add my two cents. I agree the Menzerna makes great products but I'm a little old school. I am a huge fan of Meguiars M100 or M105 with a microfiber cutting pad followed by M205 and CarPro Gloss enhancer.

The Ultimate line is my "go to". I consider it my "universal" selection, as it works in many environments, on many paint types, many machine types, and many pad types. I distinctly remember polishing out a car in colder temperatures where the Menz PF2500 had trouble spreading out. I switched to Ultimate Polish, and it had no problem performing for me the way I wanted it to.

Aside from that, M100/M205 is another favorite. Then the Menz, and Rupes.

Menzerna FG400 & PowerLock
CarPro Reflect, CQUK, Reload
Wolfgang Uber Ceramic, Uber Rinsless Wash & Autobathe
BlackFire Tire & Trim AIO, Waterless Wash & conditioning shampoo

Believe the Wolfgang swirl remover is made by Menzerna

Whats the difference between a coating and a Sealant/Wax? This coating stuff is completely new to me lol.
