The first picture looks like some kind of etching to me, at least it looks similar yet smaller to what I had on my car. Is there any cracks under the clear? If so, insurance should cover that under comprehensive.

IPA refers to Isopropyl alcohol. Generally used to remove polishing oil left on the CC.

I guess I found the answer. MF disc works better with DA. But purple foamed wool (PFW) has better cut with FLEX3401.

So, I found numerous of these tiny bubbles on my car today after washing it. I tried to take them out with clay and polish but no luck. Are these clearcoat failure or just water spot that compound would take out? Any suggestions on fixing it? Feed back please

Bump. I have the same problem. It is really hard to catch by the camera since it only shows up at the right angle and light. :(

I know. I always want one but I would invest in a rotary buffer first. :p Yes, I have done the test and found the color of basecoat on the cloth. Anyways, learn by doing :buffing: It was a great experience. Fortunately it turned not that bad.

Update: I think I have sanded through the clear. But it doesn't look that bad after compound (FG400), polish (SF4000) and one coat of sealant (M21). Thanks for the comments and suggestions. They are really helpful. :)

I was using 2000 grit with medium pressure. And what is sanding stroke? It appears after I sanded it. And I am using me cuttin with fg400. Thanks :)
