Going to have to try this again with a better bottle. Tried some and it jammed the sprayer I was using. Then again it was a cheap sample size sprayer.

What's sad is that so many cars go through this abuse at the dealer. When I picked up my new C250 the dealer was so confused when I asked them not to wash it. Lol even the GM came out and was like "to be clear, this is the first time a customer has requested that we DON'T wash the car."

That might be the issue. Often times new paint jobs have overspray just as a side effect of being in that kind of environment. It's always good to clay before waxing as it insures a truly clean surface for the wax to bond to.

I notice you didn't list a finishing polish step. Were you able to skip the step due to the nature of the paint and color? Reason I ask is because I'm doing a silver 3 series tomorrow and would rather not waste time on doing a polishing step if the MF pads and some UC could finish out ok.

I will gladly do a review! I haven't tried a product from either line but I'm most interested in Blackfire Crystal Seal as it seems like it would be a nice blend of appearance and ease of use. As for the DP line, I'm interested in the paint coating since I've been looking at a variety of coatings.

I love using Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax on my white C250

That may work, never tried that but I will say that I've knocked out 3000 grit with Meguiar's microfiber cutting disc and M105 with no problem at all.

Machine is better, in particular a Dual Action polisher. A DA is better because it spins fast but also has an oscillation motion that prevents damaging your paint. By having this kind of power, the machine can cut defects faster and insure more uniform pressure and cut than you can do by hand.

Yes you can apply carnauba wax on top of a sealant. But most carnauba waxes don't last very long so you'll likely want to apply every 2-3 months if you want to keep that carnauba look.

I always cut my bottles and scrape them so that I can transfer every last drop into self cleaning bottles.
