    Wife's Phantom Purple Mazda 3

Good people there? I've been thinking of getting a Speed3 as we got this as a commuter but the mileage isn't all that great.... might as well scream up the road if her mileage is gonna suck right? Thanks for the kind words... been reluctant to mess with it other than sealing it and putting a...

    Wife's Phantom Purple Mazda 3

Washed and used some Pinnacle Crystal Myst... It had a coat of Sov a couple months back. She drives the piss outta this car on I-5. I really need to get her a beater. Ignore the lush landscaping... we just recently built our home. OK, so it's been over a year but it's been...

    Cleaning The Wells

The tire pressure sending unit is on the end of the valve stem itself, it's inside the wheel and doesn't care if it's on the car or not. Remove the tire safely.... it's all good. Neat little devices my wife's Mazda 3 has them. Make sure tire shops know they're on the car as when tires get...

    SSR pre-wetting?

I probably didn't mind the aggresive gains when I used the 2.5 (paint had 12 years on it) however using the 1 and the polishing pad may have gone better had the pad been dry eh? I didn't get much dusting but then again it was like 45 degress. Thanks for the input.

First Detail Ever, 2007 Honda Accord, Nighthawk Black

Nice job!!! Derail time, can't help it. What is it with some states (mostly it's regional IMO) with the dealers putting some God-awful badge from their dealership on the cars they sell? I would insist if I ever had to do business with one that it is never installed or removed without a blemish...

    SSR pre-wetting?

The swirls are mostly gone, I'm wondering if I might have a clouding effect though that I can't detect without comparing it to a "pure" surface. It looks good to me for damaged paint (lots of rock chips etc.)(there are pictures in my gallery and in a thread I started about my 1st detail) I'm...

    SSR pre-wetting?

So I recently did my 1st detail with ssr 2.5 and 1.0 and now I've noticed a bunch of advice about not priming the pad with a conditioner or it will haze or possibly dust much worse than just starting out with product? I didn't really have any problems when I DID prep my pads (edge pads btw)...

    Black Thursday........

Nice catch in a lunch line! Man, worst $8500 I've seen spent in a long time. Sorry, can't stand that look on a hummer or most other cars. It makes it look like a toy IMO. Great info on your product selection, nice to read.

Why the 2500rpm limit on Edge pads?

Ah thanks for clearing it all up, it didn't make sense to me the way I was seeing it!!! OPM's ah.....

Why the 2500rpm limit on Edge pads?

This just "CYA" thing? The plastic bags they come in list the operating range and then the max rpms, the max being 2500. WTH, I can't use them at that rpm, I need at least 5000rpm for swirls and polishing. Is there a known issue or does this effect warranty in some way? Kinda saddened.

    Can a PC correct this?

Yeppo, you can get rid of those swirls. 100%, I didn't see any "scratches that looked very deep. Those are the only things it wouldn't cure to my knowledge. You own those gouges however.

    Budget....

I've "lost" money in both real estate and in the market, I've also "MADE" money in both. If you have a long term horizon I'd fully support the markets, not gambling in the markets... but buying solid stocks and riding them out until "the story" that made you pick that company in the first place...
