    Question about Collinite 845

As stated above this is normal. Sit in sun or hot water. FYI - one tip I use also is to drop a marble in the bottle. This helps break up any small clumps as you shake the bottle. Enjoy the 845!

using too much or too little collinite 845

OK your confusing me. If you are applying 845 you WANT to strip all previous waxes first. Meaning you would use Dawn soap. (even after washing with Dawn some people then clean the car again with a pre wax cleaner... then clay bar, etc) As with anything. It's all in the prep. Don't skip or...

using too much or too little collinite 845

This could be the culprit. Are you not using a soap to strip previous products before applying the 845? Sent from my XT1053 using Tapatalk

using too much or too little collinite 845

I use 845 on two daily drivers that are not garaged. Outside 365 a year, and through Pennsylvania winters. Mine still beads when I go to apply again. I don't know that California UV rays and Pennsylvania UV rays would be that much different. Definitely strange. Sent from my XT1053 using...

using too much or too little collinite 845

You should see at least 5-6 months with properly applied 845. There is something flawed in your detail process and/or application of 845. Search the forum for "the definitive guide to Collinite 845" . That's a good place to start. I'd link it but I'm at work on the tapatalk app. Sent...

Will an APC strip paint sealant off rims?

OK thanks for the input. I don't think I would need anything other than soap and water anyway. I really just wanted to use it for the tires and was worried about it getting on the rims a little. Sent from my XT1053 using Tapatalk

Will an APC strip paint sealant off rims?

Ok so a little more info as I'm still wondering... If I am using LA's Totally Awesome cleaner it states on the label that "wax stripping" is 5:1 So if I made a 10:1 mix would it not be okay to use on rims w/ sealant on w/o worrying about it being stripped? Thanks

Will an APC strip paint sealant off rims?

If I want to use a 4:1 APC to clean my tires and rims would it remove any sealant/wax I have applied to the rims? Thanks. Sent from my XT1053 using Tapatalk

Grit guard cracking a 5GL bucket?

OK thanks for the info. My guard was certainly tight. And it didn't sit at the bottom either. Only went down about 2/3's of the way. I guess I'll try one of the Home Depot food grade ones. Sent from my XT1053 using AG Online

    Am I alone?

Yea I've had neighbors complement my car when I'm on the clay stage of a detail. I'm thinking to myself, I still have like 4 hours to go....lol

Grit guard cracking a 5GL bucket?

I've had these buckets for 2 years. I only have a grit guard in the rinse bucket. Today I went to detail the car and the rinse bucket was cracked. It couldn't have been damaged in the garage. It literally sits untouched when I'm not using them. The bucket has a sort of bulged ring right about...

    Driving app

I prefer the app Waze (owned by Google btw) as Capn Blackie already listed. It gives you all the convenience of navigation in addition to "real time" updates via Waze users regarding traffic, construction, police (nice), hazards on the road, vehicles stopped on shoulder, gas prices, etc, etc...
