Removing Wax Buildup around the cleartastic

I used to use the Griot's wax remover. Since it came out, I have been using the Wolfgang Uber coating prep solution. It is fantastic! <TED>

    Soap for a foam cannon

Add me to the list of CG Honeydew users for foam cannon application. Actually CG has several soaps that are really good in a cannon. <TED>

New Products: Who Wants to Test & Review?

Yeah, Uber coating prep is fantastic at removing this stuff from plastic trim. When I said fantastic, it is like a miracle and it doesn't hurt the plastic! <TED>

I've had good luck with the Carpro Spotless - but you need to wash the car when you are done. The chemicals are harsh... <TED>

Any PERFORMANCE Mods to YOUR Car?

Depends on what you mean by performance mods. 2016 Mustang GT with the performance package. The PP includes a lot that affects handling and braking which, in my mind, are the essence of performance. Haven't done anything to the engine but take care of it. I added a Blowfish Racing rear...

Black Label Coating Detailer & Booster - Synergistic Chemical Compatibility

FWIW, I too have not had problems washing PBL coating out of microfiber (i drop the towels into a wash bucket when done with them though). By contrast, you aren't going to be able to do that with CQuartz, Blackfire or Wolfgang coatings! <TED>

    Detailers Tire Cleaner and Restorer

Hey Roger! I have Bleche White, but it isn't a compatible base for the Detailer's (er, uh I guess it's now McKee's) Tire Coating. Got the Michelin Supersports mounted yesterday! The installer couldn't believe I needed new tires so soon! Best, <TED>

    Detailers Tire Cleaner and Restorer

I use this product along with Detailer's Tire Sealer and I just ran out of the cleaner and restorer. (I have a lot of the Sealer on hand). I went on Autogeek and tried to order more and can't find that product at all. Indeed, I can't find any Detailer's products. Have I missed something...

First time using CQUK - On Black!

That's one amazing looking truck - and the detailing is amazing too<G>! A lot of what we are seeing (particularly in the reflection picture) is your hard work with the M205, though. Congrats! <TED>

    Touchless car wash in Savannah?

Yeah, that's a good thought, but I'm not going to have room to carry any equipment with me. I was hoping to just run it through a touchless and touch up with some waterless wash. Thanks, <TED>

    Touchless car wash in Savannah?

I'm going down to an event just West of Savannah next weekend and it will be raining (maybe even snowing) on my way down. I need to find a touchless car wash to get the heavy stuff off when I get there. Is anyone aware of a true touchless wash facility in or around Savannah? Thanks...

    klass info

I assume that you are referring to the Klasse AIO. I have an old can of the AIO that I use in various ways such as door jambs and interior panels that respond well to a sealant (BMW dashes, for example). It works just fine. (A superior product, actually). However, mine is probably 4 years...

Need Help in Purchase of Polisher

I agree. This is a great choice for someone used to a rotary. I think the Porter Cable would not be powerful enough for him. <TED>

POLL - What's the number one most important factor when it comes to polishing paint?

I think this states it perfectly! Choice of products is part of technique - indeed, technique is the one thing that the detailer actually controls! <TED>

    Do Car Shampoos Go Bad?

Interesting that you say that. For reasons that are primarily historic, I use CG soaps almost exclusively. I have only had one separate and it was the Citrus Wash N Gloss. I ultimately threw what I had left away and did not reorder that product - though I really liked it. I have several...

D101 APC leaving a residue behind?

I agree. I use DP Total Interior Cleaner and recently tried the Blackfire product as well. Both are standards for me now. Perhaps the proof of the pudding is that I lent a bottle of the DP interior cleaner to my wife when she needed to clean up a mess she had created. (She usually doesn't...
