    Toyota MR2 Red Oxidation Input.

Thank you for the advice! Very nice Job on the Toyota Hilux by the way! That red really pops now! I do plan on taping off the edges yes, especially since this year of toyota has soft paint. I plan on doing a test spot on the decklid to see the best approach for this particular setup. I'm using...

    Toyota MR2 Red Oxidation Input.

Thank you for the input Mike. I'm using 3D products right now (cut/polish/speed), haven't found a really good sealant yet. I use Carpro Reload, but it doesn't seem to hold up well enough. I'm looking forward to being able to bring this paint back to life! I gave the client a quote, so now I...

    Toyota MR2 Red Oxidation Input.

Hey Guys/Gals. I have a client who has a 91' Toyota MR2. 37,000 Original Miles. However, the red is pretty severely oxidized over the entire car. I'm pretty sure I know what I'm dealing with but just to get a little more input would be very helpful before giving a final price based on how the...

Any advice on cleaning / polishing aluminium ?

Mag/Aluminum Polish & Foam Pads. I use left over buffing pads (cutting and polishing). Cut them up in various sizes from thumb size to palm size. Use mostly cutting pads on aluminum wheels. Did these yesterday for a client. Not too extensive.

Wash & Wax: E450 RV - Collinite 845 Never Fails.

It's some of the best on the market hands down. And I used 0000 steel wool w/ Mothers Chrome Polish. I'll only use 0000 steel wool on very few areas when detailing, if any at all. But when needed it works very well.

Whats going on here? (Black car issues) and noob

Hmm, it almost looks like as if there might've been some contaminates on the mitt possibly resulting in whatever it is embedded itself in the clear coat. If you polish a small area you should be able to tell. But, because it transfers over the glass in the same motion as it is on the paint...

That does not look right. This honestly looks like back and forth wiping motions. How are you washing it?

Moderate Boat Oxidation. Wetsand or Buff?

That was gonna be my first point of attack, utilizing a test spot to determine correct procedure. Wanted to give the customer a couple quote options to work with based off how well it would be eliminated. I'll have to do a test spot first to determine that. I don't want to undercut myself...

Moderate Boat Oxidation. Wetsand or Buff?

Hey guys/gals, I inspected a 22ft Four Whinns H210 today for a new client of mine. It has moderate oxidation on the upper portion of the black paint. It's black with a white top. Wish I had photos to share, but that was my mistake. I'm trying to figure out the most efficient way to go about...

POLL - What's the number one most important factor when it comes to polishing paint?

Nowadays, its hard to pinpoint exactly what matters most. Technique - With the progressing polishers and rotary machines they are allowing detailers to use less effort to perform the work as opposed to a rotary buffer with a wool pad 30 years ago. Abrasive Technology - Also improving rapidly to...

which AIO is easy to off?

Everybody from my Detailers Coalition says HD Speed is one of the best AIO on the market right now. Very easy to wipe off. Just picked some up last week, about to try it on a vehicle tomorrow.

    PPF Install

If you consider sanding at all then you might as well repaint the bumper. For as many divots and chips that you say are on there you would have to do a lot of sanding to feather them down. Doing a touch up has its advantages, but its only a patch job. To properly get it back to original...
