PB Bug Squash - Anyone still use it? Especially as a Pre-Wash?

Hey Guys, I use BS as a pre-wash and looking to reorder, but was wondering what people are using for a pre-wash, both foaming and non-foaming? Will be using on both a coated and non-coated car. Cars get fairly dirty between washes. At 3:1 dilution of BS, has anyone see degradation of sealants...

Also, when I mentioned Essence, I meant the Xtreme Gloss Enhancer version and not the PLUS version.

Need Help Deciding on a Pre-Coating Polish for CQUK

Hey Guys, I am planning on recoating my '18 4Runner this summer and need some help/input on the best polish to use. The truck was coated with MK37 in Fall of 2017. I want to coat with CQuartz UK (unless you convince my to go with the regular CQuartz) since I am in Michigan and we have some...

    Problem with MK37 HydroBlue

Thanks guys for the advice! I did notice this time at the car wash they really cranked up the soap concentration coming out of the wand. Next time I have a chance I’ll hit it again with the tar/iron/bug process and see how it fairs. Does anyone know if tarminator is safe for coatings?

    Problem with MK37 HydroBlue

I’m thinking that is well, but i’m not sure what else to do to really clean the panels. I had pressure washed the crap out of it first, pre-soaked the lower panels with bug squash (closest thing I have to a pre Soak), pressure washed again, soaked panels with D114 (at 1:128), washed with...

    Problem with MK37 HydroBlue

So I did my first major wash of the season on Tuesday using hyper wash. The truck has MK37 coating ver.2 on it that is a little over a year old. The horizontal surfaces are still beading good but the doors and back are flat. I guess understandable with the Michigan winters and all the salt on...

To Prime or Not to Prime (and a question for Joe at Next Level Detailing)

Thanks for the input guys. I think my problem is saturating, maybe over saturating, the pads. The last time I polished, I primed the pad (liberally) and added 3-4 drops on top of that then added more product for the next section. Was using LC CCS pads. Took forever to clean them out too.

To Prime or Not to Prime (and a question for Joe at Next Level Detailing)

Still learning, so bear with me. I have read/seen where you should Prime/butter your foam pad so that you aren’t putting dry pad to paint and also utilizing the entire pad surface for correction. But I have also seen where guys are only starting with several drops (or an x, or circle) of...

Need Your Opinion on an AIO or 1-Step

Thanks for all the input and good suggestions guys. I think I am leaning to an AIO for the daily drivers to save time and my back. I second 11B250 question, what would be a good polish for a one step? McKee’s fast polish? Griots perfecting cream? OPT hyper polish?

Need Your Opinion on an AIO or 1-Step

Hey Guys, Looking to do some family and friends cars when the weather gets nicer. These would all be daily drivers with varying degrees of swirls and scratches. I started thinking about doing an AIO for these, but then was thinking of maybe a 1-step since an LSP wouldn't take to long. Longer...

High Hopes for OptiBond Tire Gel...sort of...

Funx650, The "dressings" appear to be gone based on sheen, shine, and the tires look like bare rubber. Granted, I drive 70+ "country" miles a day to the office. Where abouts are you in Ohio? I grew up and went to College in NW Ohio? -Groggy

High Hopes for OptiBond Tire Gel...sort of...

Hey Guys, So I recently bought some OptiBond Tire Gel and I guess I have somewhat some expectations for it on tires. I have stock Dunlop tires on my new 4Runner and have tried 303 (decent satin sheen, but didn't last as others have said and didn't expect much), Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant...

Has Anyone Used Aquawax on top of McKee's Paint Coating as a Drying Aid?

Thanks for the great explanation Nick! You might have just convinced me to include some in my next order. Does the Extender Spray Wax add any additional gloss?

Has Anyone Used Aquawax on top of McKee's Paint Coating as a Drying Aid?

Maybe I'll do a side-by-side to see how it looks/reacts to the coating since I have two gray coated vehicles in the garage.
