Just replace it. My mirrors had scratches in them and I figured I'd try some polish and it ruined the mirror. Ended up purchasing replacements and installed them.

This is kind of along the same lines as using QD with coatings. You don't want to use soaps that leave anything behind ideally. Carpro reset, Gyeon Bathe and Gyeon Bathe+ are made for coatings.

Another option for a quick detailer is Carpro Ech2o diluted to a detail spray. It is a waterless wash/detail spray designed for coated cars.

If your vehicles have a coating on them, Carpro Ech20 would probably be your best bet for waterless washes. It is meant to work with coatings and as with most waterless wash concentrates, it can also be diluted to a quick detailer or clay lubricant.

Thanks for the responses. Not what I wanted to hear, but it is what I expected. I don't think I want to try and use a compound or polish anymore in fear of doing more damage. I think I'll try a glaze and see if that helps hide the swirls.
