    Cleaned up my bike

Cross posted from the motorcycle forum So I have a 2011 Triumph Speedmaster that I thought I had taken good care of. WRONG! A couple weekends ago I used a little Megs Ultimate Polish and was pleased with the shine, but upset with the scratches that popped out! So this weekend I used my Harbor...

    Bike project coming up

Used my Harbor Freight DA with 5" hex logic pads, Megs Ultimate Compound and Polish, and Collinite 845 to finish. Makes me want to get some smaller 3" pads for this type of job; maybe one day. Very pleased with the results! There's a couple of deeper scratches that didn't buff out, but I'm still...

    Bike project coming up

So I have a 2011 Triumph Speedmaster that I thought I had taken good care of. This weekend I used a little Megs Ultimate Polish and was pleased with the shine, but scared by the scratches that popped out! So this week/end I plan to use some Ultimate Compound followed by the UP to get this paint...

Collinite #845: The Definitive How-To Guide For This Legendary Wax

Got to use this great product last weekend on my wifes DD. Can't wait to put some on my new Outback soon! Used a 5.5" red hex pad on my HF DA, and applied the 845 to the pad using a childrens Tylenol syringe. Probably used 12-15 milliliters the first coat and 8 the second. It really does go on...

    Tree Sap

A good powerful rinse followed by a good wash may do the trick. I washed and waxed (NXT) my wife's car a couple months ago and a few days later it was covered in sap from the tree it's usually parked under. A decent pressure tip on the hose followed by a wash with Meg's UWW had it all clean.

Finally get to do some work today!

Hah, severe storms approaching now, with 80mph winds and possible hail! The wife and I just took the car out for pedicures and lunch. At least there's been ample time for the second coat to cure. About the 845, I'd say so far I'm very pleased with it. I used a red 5" hex logic finishing pad on...

Finally get to do some work today!

I'm pretty pleased with the results, the car is slick, shiny and smooth! The only downside is the bajillion little rock chips on the front bumper stick out like a sore thumb now :( :Picture: Polished and waxed Polished and waxed Polished and waxed Polished and waxed Sorry for the iPhone...

    What is your Rushmore?

Well, I've used Meg's Ultimate Compiund and Polish, CG 5" Hex Pads, NXT, 845 and ONR. So those would have to be my Rushmore I suppose. I also like the Meg's Interior Detail Spray, as it leaves a nice clean surface without any greasy/glossy residue.

Finally get to do some work today!

So hopefully I can get a second coat on tomorrow before the festivities happen. Should I hit it with some ONR quick detail dilution before applying the second coat of 845? The car is a DD with no garage action. The storm should be hitting any second :(

Finally get to do some work today!

Well I just finished up, just in time to hear the thunder rolling in. The weather forecast has been 0 chance of rain for today since earlier this week. Now we've got a severe thunderstorm rolling in! Hopefully it'll miss, and I can get some good after pics tomorrow.

Finally get to do some work today!

Gonna get out the DA and get to work polishing, and maybe compounding a few small spots, on the wife '10 super white Rolla. It was clayed, compounded and polished a couple months ago before I knew what I was doing. Now that I've got lots of knowledge gleaned from this site, and some sweet new 5"...

    Sunday topic

Had a nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc last night, but also a fan of Bourbons and beers. Makers is my goto for Bourbon and beers are all over, but prefer dark stouts and porters, or crisp wheats and whites. Hate hoppy!

Finally ordered some items... so excited!

Baby steps. I had to wear down on the accountant before she relented on these two items :nomore:

Finally ordered some items... so excited!

So today I ordered a bottle of Collinite 845, and a bottle of ONR. I'll be using the ONR mainly for cleaning bird crap and other "as needed" things between washes for my wife's and my daily drivers, '10 White Corolla and a '15 Grey Outback. I usually try and wash them once a week, or every other...

Does this happen in your neighborhood too?

The part about me being on my motorcycle would have been relevant here I think.

    Daily basis?

Once I finally order some ONR or D114, I'll probably be applying that once a day to clean off the bird crap from my outside 24/7 daily drivers lol. Other than that, heck no!

Does this happen in your neighborhood too?

Ditto. I also turn in the a/c recirculation if it's exessively dusty, or there's a smoking vehicle ahead.
