Gonna get out the DA and get to work polishing, and maybe compounding a few small spots, on the wife '10 super white Rolla. It was clayed, compounded and polished a couple months ago before I knew what I was doing. Now that I've got lots of knowledge gleaned from this site, and some sweet new 5" hex pads vs the janky harbor freight discs I had before, I'm looking forward to putting a shine on this ride. I'll be using Meg's Ultimate Compound were needed and Ultimate Polish, topped with my fresh new bottle of Collinite 845.

Don't forget to post the before & after pics!

Well I just finished up, just in time to hear the thunder rolling in. The weather forecast has been 0 chance of rain for today since earlier this week. Now we've got a severe thunderstorm rolling in! Hopefully it'll miss, and I can get some good after pics tomorrow.

So hopefully I can get a second coat on tomorrow before the festivities happen. Should I hit it with some ONR quick detail dilution before applying the second coat of 845? The car is a DD with no garage action. The storm should be hitting any second :(

Ha! It only rained because you waxed the car :)

Yes clean that surface very well b4 applying more 845 and shake shake shake away and have fun

Well done. Hopefully you enjoyed it and the rain doesn't come in too soon.

Hah, severe storms approaching now, with 80mph winds and possible hail! The wife and I just took the car out for pedicures and lunch. At least there's been ample time for the second coat to cure.

About the 845, I'd say so far I'm very pleased with it. I used a red 5" hex logic finishing pad on a speed of 1.5 with the Harbor Freight DA. It was a little tricky with the white wax on white paint, but if you tilt your head enough, you can make out the swirls of wax. Removal wasn't too bad except a couple heavy spots, but a little ONR spritz took care of it work no problem. I used a children's Tylenol syringe to apply the 845 to the pad. Probably used 12-15 milileters the first coat and 9 the second. It's been warm enough here that all I had to do was shake the bottle vigorously to get the correct liquid consistancy.
