    Ultima Acrylic waterless wash

Sooo the temps haven't been as high as the last post....its been constant low 100s even some high 90s, but the humidity has been pretty high due to the on and off monsoon storms....so I finally decided to give UAWW a try....it was on my dusty Z06 and I performed a regular waterless wash....I...

Griots Garage 6" Polisher with 3" Backing Plate?

I also have a 3" BP that I use on my gg6 for tight spots and headlight restoration....it works great, just be cautious not to use too much speed with the samller pad cuz itll generate too much heat and destroy the pad

    TBSS horsepower and shine!

looks REALLY good sir....and sweet mod list, it makes me miss my black TBSS.... unfortunately I wasn't into detailing back in my TBSS days but I do remember mine started suffering from "crows feet" on the hood area before I got rid of it....ur paint looks amazing though

    Porter vs Griot's

love my gg6....I started with a PC, but the gg6 is worlds better IMO....the power difference is very noticeable, and the correction power is amazing.... especially on curved panels it just blasts through them. p.s. I use a 5" BP with the Meguiars thin discs

Storing of polishes, waxes, sealants, etc.

rinseless/waterless concentrates and mixtures, window cleaner, APC, interior detailer, d156 and car wash soaps all stay in the garage year round.... compound, polish and sealants have a shelf in the house. although Optiseal has been out in the garage thus far through the heat, but I don't think...

    Sealant showdown

I've been pretty curious about the Dr. Beasleys "coatings"....mainly the plasmacoat and the 1201 coating....yes they're coatings but they apply soo different from other coatings I wonder how good they really are.

Detail with good UV protection before temps go to 120!

yup it's brutal out here in the summer, which was why I completely shyed away from carnuba products....all synthetic/polycharged stuff for this guy....plus I like the hard candy glass look they give. we definitely need to get a detail meet here this fall/winter.

Detail with good UV protection before temps go to 120!

I been wanting to give my wife's Jetta a quick polish with HD Speed, but with her car being black and the temps we have it is prolly gonna have to wait til fall....same goes for coating the z06....right now it's just trying to keep them clean and protected enough to get through the heat and...

    Ultima Acrylic waterless wash

I wanted to give UAWW a go this wknd but with forecasts in the 117-120* range I'd much rather stay inside where it's nice and cool :)

What do you wish to see in the future of detailing?

a coating that truly lasts 2+ years and doesn't require ANY topping and doesn't have any drop off in beading/sheeting

    Best/favorite all in one?

HD speed is amazing....it has a good cross between filling and actual cutting and yields great results....works in the heat and is a breeze to wipe off....it also is practically dustless

    Gtechniq exo

light correction/sealant removal/water spot removal....it's so dry here the water just spots up in no time....I'll be using 205 to polish

    Gtechniq exo

yea I was thinking to shrink down the sections to half of what u would normally do....this is my first coating as well, which is why I went with EXO cuz I've heard it's very simple to do....and like LNS said it's nothing that a quick repolish can't fix....I'll probably start polishing the car...

    Gtechniq exo

I just got my EXO v3 in and am hoping to apply it as a stand alone on my z06....it's a garage King so it won't see any monsoon storms nor be outside a whole lot....but it'll be nice to get a coating on it and not have to worry about protection for a long time, just maintenance washes here and...

Beginning scratches from rinse less wash...

I use either a chenille or one of the "official" rinseless wash mitts and get great results....it releases whatever it picks up very easily and also gets into crevices well....I be sure and agitate it good against the grit guard and then even with my other hand before getting started on the next...

    Looking for a quick detailer

I personally don't see the use for dedicated detail sprays anymore....with the boom in waterless/rinseless washes I don't see the point in having a detail spray.... they're not as economical, they don't clean as well and are not as universal. I personally have 3 different "sprays" that I use in...

    By the gallon?

I personally have gallons of Adams interior cleaner, Adams wheel cleaner, Meguiars glass cleaner, APC, d114, hyper wash and d156.... and I'm a wknd warrior that does side jobs here and there

    DA Polisher

the Griot's like mentioned above is the most solid, best priced, amazingly warrantied polisher u can get....and from what I hear Griot's customer service is above and beyond when it comes to actually having to use ur warranty....plus u can switch backing plates on the gg6 and tackle pretty much...
