Need to remove water sports from window glass

I have bad water spotting on the window glass on my RV. I have some glass polish (Griot's) that I can try, my question is which pad to use on my 3401 DA buffer? This will be used on the flat side glass, not the windshield. Any other tips would be great. I have orange, black and blue pads.

Mike, why do you say white gel coat is one of the hardest surfaces to buff?

Question using McKees all in one.

I am using McKee’s RV All-In-One Cleaner Wax & Sealant on oxidized white gelcoat and my question is how do I tell when the polish is done and should be wiped off? I'm using a Flex 3401 with 5.5" orange pad, first time using the flex, and the all-in-one is doing a good job. I am happy with the...

The old California Duster! Questions from client

Not an easy solution, 4 families live on 800 feet of the drive so all have to agree on any costs related to the road. It's like herding cats!

The old California Duster! Questions from client

Ok, full disclosure. I'm an old guy with a duster I bought many years ago at a car show. I also recently bought a C5 Corvette to use as a track toy so 2 strikes down. I live in the country and have a 1200' long gravel driveway that is a dusty hellhole this time of year. What can I do to get rid...

Advise on machine for 3" pads

I have an air tool similar to the one you show in the picture. It works ok but the air hose is a pain to deal with. Main reason for the question on electrical alternative.

Advise on machine for 3" pads

I have a Flex 3401 on the way and would like to be able to use 3" pads for small/tight areas. What would be the best compliment machine to the flex that I could use 3" pads on? Should I go with a Griots 3" DA or something in the PC size? Keeping in mind I have a Makita rotary and the 3401 for...

How to choose my first DA buffer

Thanks everyone for the input. I ended up ordering a Flex 3401, looking forward to getting it and trying it out. In the mean time, I used the rotary to compound the lower section. Here's a picture of the before and after showing the level of oxidation I'm dealing with.

How to choose my first DA buffer

So, I see the Rupes LHR21 is on a great sale at $320. Based on that, is this one the best choice? Is the longer throw (21mm) ever a problem compared to the flex at 8mm?

How to choose my first DA buffer

Fast response time! Thanks to everyone. So it looks like the Flex and Griots G21 are the 2 main ones. Correct me if I'm wrong but they are both fixed DA types? Can either be considered a "one machine does it all" choice for me? Does the G21 require me to only use Griots pads with it? The lower...

How to choose my first DA buffer

I have only used a rotary buffer is the past. I learned back in the day when it was the only choice. I am not a pro detailer but have to detail my 33' RV, moderate oxidation, and am thinking it might be time to try one of the "new fangle" DA buffers. Which would be the best machine to move to...
