    Low gloss ceramic

Getting my Riverside Blue 2SS 1LE and though I have ceramic and graphene my cars in the past for this one I would like to try going with a low gloss ceramic, I don't want the shine I almost want a flat look. The hood will have matte PPF over the flat hood so I will be using a matte ceramic for...

today I started the process of detailing my wife's car

I don't think the lake county blue pad is for cutting and correction so 5 would be a bit fast on the PC. I use a PC and I cut on 5 or 6 and polish on 3-4. I also use 4 pads when I do my car.

    Ceramic coating suggestions

Your question is like asking what is your favorite color/brand of underwear, I personally like the easy of use of Ethos Graphene cause I can do it in my garage on a warm day, I am two years in with no visible signs of deterioration. I had Adams and Renny Doyle professionally applied and they...

    amateur paint correction help

With my PC I have found a Microfiber cutting pad is a good place to start and I like the D30016, 90% of the time it gets most of the defects out and if I want to get more out I step up to a yellow or orange pad have used 3D cutting, M105 and they both work well. Then I hit the entire car with...

Ceramic coating on lights - First time experience

Don't feel bad about taking 25 hours. That's about what it takes me to do a full correction. Wash and inspection, Tar and bug remover, Iron X, Clay, Wash and dry, Then I hit it with Yellow pad and whatever is needed to get major swirls out where needed, then I hit it with micro fiber pad and...

Overwhelmed With Options (New Car Protection)

If you plan on taking off road I would suggest PPF on the bottom once you decide how to proceed with paint protection. Do the PPF after correction but before protection application.

    Crazy lottery jackpots.

It's my understanding that you DON'T sign the ticket, lock it in a safe and see a lawyer. If you don't sign it then the lottery has no right to disclose who you are and the lawyer can set up a trust. Then it stays all under the radar until you tell someone with loose lips you won.

Do stones "bounce off" PPF, and not leave a mark?

I had the factory PPF on rear quarter panels and had installed PPF on the front bumper and front hood area. I have no chips after 4 years but I don't do a lot of highway driving. You are more likely to get stone chips from highways then in city. I did pull off the factory PPF just last summer...

Where not to spray iron remover on exterior?

Never had an issue with CarPro IronX staining. I don't spray directly on to glass rubber or plastic and I make sure I rinse throughly behind all trim and my next step is always a thorough wash.

    Help restore paint/shine

It's my understanding that single stage paints were sprayed for commercial use. I would check your paint code and make sure you have single stage white. If still unsure you can test spot with a compound, rub and see if it turns white. Single stage paint will not have as much gloss as paint...

Cleanup after using pads and wax removing towels

I didn't believe the washing machine would clean pads until I tried it. And they spin enough of the moisture out they dry quicker.

    Polishing passenger window

I have only used the griots and have no complaints. I bought a three pack and they have held up well. I use to clean the top of our glass top range. I only do the range by hand though. I have used them for our glass enclosed shower and it works great removing calcium deposits and stubborn...

Polishing PPF or Clear Bra With BF One Step and a Waxing pad?

I use the lake white pad and it works well don't forget to tape at least the corners on the PPF. Product can get under loose corners and edges. Learned that the hard way.
