Same one as I use. Go to the plumbing dept and grab a length of spongey pipe insulation and wire ties. Cut the insulation lengthwise and attach to front/back of the platform. MX5HIGH: How does that garage door insulation work? Useful?

Mike, what pad is being used on the Flex by the guy doing the tires (or make a recommendation) ?

+1 get a decent mini-platform w/ folding/LOCKABLE legs. Ziptie some cut spongy pipe insulation to the long edges.

You may want to look at Sonax PNS (Polymer Net Shield) w/ intermittent topping w/ their BSD product. I've also used Collinite 476/915 and am (this year) trying GTechniq C2V3 on my GFs SU.

I'd start w/ vacuum, an all purpose cleaner followed by metal (alum safe obviously) polish on a stiff toothbrush (to get in and around the rubber nubs) and then re-evaluate if more is needed.

I use a regular hardware store 1gl tank sprayer w/ wand w/ ONR to pre-wet the panels before I even hit it w/ ONR & BRS for rinseless. It gets most of the crud off (at least where I live).

+1 Duragloss. Tried many of them, this is pretty much the best.

make sure to wash/flood the Citrol/Tarminator cleaned surfaces when done o get it all off.

have you looked at things like Meg's Unigrit system or Abralon disks w/ interface pads?

Has AG or MikeP ever done an article on when to use which type of microfiber, preferably w/ photos of the various weaves etc?

Interesting and good info if needed. I end up using about 7-8 paper towels to buff out an Aquapel installation.

Tar-X, Tarminator, Gyeon TAR or (favorite) Citrol. I probably will just use the others till they are done (or I'm bored) and stick w/ Citrol.

I'll at least give it a rinse but I also use Immolube which I will do a full (although 'quickly') wash to get it off
