I'd love to read advice on the best way to clean the dead pedal in my car. Its aluminum with rubber nibs.

Thanks!

I'd start w/ vacuum, an all purpose cleaner followed by metal (alum safe obviously) polish on a stiff toothbrush (to get in and around the rubber nubs) and then re-evaluate if more is needed.

Also as a precaution I would try some type of rubber protectant on the rubber nibs before polishing to prevent them from turning white. Best of luck!

Remove it and see if the rubber is removable. Be careful though if you try as BMW is known for using ring fasteners inthr plastic tabs to hold them down making them non reusable. Check YT for some videos.

I did see a few on YT and you're absolutely correct. Most people just rip them out to replace them, pulling the fastening posts and O-rings right through the carpet.

I'll do the best I can, leaving it in place. I'm trying to maintain perspective ... I do put my foot on it. ;)
