This car only has about 2400 miles on it but from sitting and the use of a car cover has scratched it and the paint had a hazes to it. The pics really do not show the haze and the outside pics are not as nice as I would like since the sun has not been around here lately. I performed a 3 step polish on it to bring it back to life.

As the title states this car has over a 1000 hp, and another engine is being bulit so it has a "reliable" 1200 hp at the wheels. A few members have been asking about this car so I figured I would post it.

These sort of show the haze to the paint.

These are the afters, just wish there was more sun because this silver really popped after the polishing.

Nice work Dana! That's one mean looking snake! :dblthumb2:

Silver really is a PITA to capture defects with a camera. :(

Not too bad for only being a little Mustang. :bump2::bump2::bump2::bump2: The silver looks pretty wet. What topper did you use?

:applause: Great job my friend!! To bad it's silver...Not one of my favorite colors for showcasing a lot of great work!!!
Let me guess; "Turtle wax Ice polish " hahahahah :joking: What icing did you use on that cake?

:dunno:That's not nice (don't worry about it :joking:)... I love my PONY... It least it's not a PINTO!

Hey i had a pinto wagon it was all done up had close to 100Hp at the rear wheels and back them that was alot LOL.

Car looks great as always Dana:dblthumb2:Figured Hermann could squezzzze a little more out of that engine

What did you use to polish the black by the side mirrors? Did you do it by hand? The car looks fantastic, but that black area looks great. I have a 2003 Cobra in Redfire. I hate what I am doing to it everyday up here in MA. I am driving it all winter as I can't afford a winter vehicle.

Great job on the detail!

Quick question though, what does it do in the 1/4 mile?

Thanks, Chad. Tell me about it Chad, the car really looked like crap in person.

Thanks Dave, I used the ever so easy Blackfire.

Thanks Tad, Blackfire sealant.

Thanks Adam, Hermann could have pulled more out of it but as you learned from meeting him he is all about being safe. Funny thing is he always gets more hp/tq than others with more boost.

Nice work!! What LSP did you use?

Thanks Louie, Blackfire Sealant

Thanks Don, I polished the side mirrors with the rotary. I do that to all the mirroes on the Mustangs from the fox bodies on up. I also polish the trim on these cars also, no dressing on the trim on that car at all except the tires.

It's nice to hear about a tuner wanting to be safe with a tune instead of an all out aggressive tune! Is this the guy that tunes with the SCT you were talking about?

now I am a huge mustang fan, but when was the 2.8 Mammoth kit capable of a reliable 1200 at the ground? I have seen a few 2.8 KB 2v's & 4v's built on race gas touch the 1000 mark with race fuel and generally a 25-32lb pulley. Only ever heard of Full Blowers and Cog System able to easily get into that range.

Edit - Now unless this is a privately ported 2.8 for some serious added liters, then that I understand. But belt slipage on that thing must be crazy. Or your friend somehow got his hands on a 3.6L before they have come out!

lol!

that blower displaces more than my entire motor.

Great job!!

Thanks.

Thanks, the car hasn't been on the track yet, it is just to putt around in. It is easily a mid to low 9 sec. car in the 1/4. The owner also has the Lambo I put on here, a 07 Z06 that makes big power and a few other cars.

It sure is, yes it is HorsepowerByHermann, he is all over the Ford forums, one of the top tuners if not the top tuner in the country.

This car made 840's at the wheels as it sits, which is a little over 1k at the crank. It still has some left in it. As far as belt slippage there really is none to speak of. The new engine is going to have the 2.8H on it so it will make what it is intended to. My good friend is Hermann of HorsepowerbyHermann and if you are into Mustangs than you know who he is and what he is capable of

Looks good man. I've never seen a silver car with that kind of 'depth' lol.

Does this make you feel a little better?

Here is a picture of your car, I like this color when it is polished correctly.:dblthumb2:
