05 Ram 1500 M205 and Megs UW

What a horrible experience. It was bad from the very start. It happened to my girls car too, but the chick backed into her and instead of stopping she bailed. Hit and run, we were stuck with a bent hood. I hate her 02 pontiac anyway, next year im entering it into a skid plate race and buying her an elantra. hahaha

It was worse...

I pulled it out some so it looked better than it did...

The paint wasn't scratched at all...

So I really had no choice but to live with it.....

Or pay out a ton of cash out of my own pocket....

I chose to live with it....

Yeah it sucks when that stuff happens. I don't know why people decide to get behind the wheel without insurance. I guess they feel entitled to drive anyway!

There are a lot of them out there, more than you would believe...

We werent that lucky, it was a 4-runner and the tow package is what hit the front of the hood. Nice deep scratches... Burn...

Oh I know. I've read by some accounts almost 50% in my state. That's why I carry uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage on everything (Even my old '02 Taurus that doesn't have full coverage - I dropped full coverage after doing the math and finding I was paying the entire value of the car in a little over one policy! Just not worth it anymore)

When I got rear ended, it was in my MOMS car, of course. I had my car, was going to pick something up, she was parked behind me, she said here take mine. So I come to a stop behind a stalled vehicle, and BAM, get rammed into by a Chevy Impala being driven by a 16 year old girl who was texting on her phone. When I asked for her insurance information (along with the 6 other cars she hit before coming to a stop) she said no, she wanted to wait for her mom. That was perfectly reasonable, so while waiting for the police, momma showed up. Well, her claws came out. Screamed at us for hurting her baby (her car had an obliterated front end, all 6 of us had rear end damage, it was painfully obvious what happened). She claimed we all got in her way, and we should've been watching our rear view mirrors and moved out of the way when we saw her coming (Because, of course, it wasn't this girls responsibility to watch the road).

THEN she claimed "None of you are getting a penny from us" and said "We're going now". I dialed the highway patrol and told them that the girls mother was trying to take her from the scene, well, after the other guys started to stall her (I think she was scared that among the cars hit was a newer Mercedes convertible and a brand new, temp-tag still affixed black BMW). They got there pretty quick and detained both the mother and the daughter in seperate cars and got us the insurance cards. Luckily they HAD insurance!

But what I couldn't believe was the attitude. Nothing can possible be my daughters fault. No WONDER she was driving around, speeding, with her eyes on her cellphone. Nobody has ever told her she's responsible for what goes on around her before! Didn't that mother realize that she could've been killed? I was the fifth car she hit, then she hit the stalled car after me. Bouncing in and out of the oncoming lane. If there was someone coming in the other lane, she would be dead. Period. But of course, don't worry honey, we'll get you away from these mean men who tried to hurt you!

Just drives me insane. Only accident I've ever been in. Did get backed into in a parking lot before. Lady got out of the car, older lady. Was very apologetic. There was a tiny tiny bit of paint transfer on my bumper and hers, we agreed to just not worry about it. She took responsibility and we assessed the situation. So much easier. Of course, with this other girl it was a lot more than paint transfer (Was about $2k in damage to moms car and I was the FIFTH CAR HIT), but it still would've been easier for everyone if we could've just dealt with it like adults. Swap insurance info, get the police report over with, and those that could drive home drive home (Mine was still drivable, the first couple of cars hit weren't, and hers was not. The front firewall was resting on the ground and the engine was lying in a ditch).

I am glad youre ok Romans, thats the main thing. Cars are replaceable no matter how much we love em. Once were messed up, we tend to feel it forever.

I have never been fan of white cars, but that just looks clean as heck dude. Again, good job.

White is one of the hardest to get to look right, unlike the dark colors that just show reflections easy.

It's a trade off though, white and silver don't really show dirt as easy, but they have to really be done right to show good reflections.

When white is done right you can't even look directly at the paint in the sun because it will blind you it's so bright. :xyxthumbs:
