I purchased this thing about three months ago. Was in search of swirl removers and ended up on AG..... damn could have done without learning I was only slightly obsessive before.. Some satisfaction with knowing some of you have it worse!! :D

Saturday did the Expedition... Sunday was for my swirl machine G35. The car was a rental before I purchased it and as my wife said... must have used the paddles of cactus to dry the thing.

I tried to get close ups of the swirls and scratches, but it was to bright to capture them properly. I apologize, I didn't realize I hadn't taken pics of the whole car either before or after....:(

Washed at the neighborhood spray wash
Cobra guzzler to dry
Pinnacle clay
XMT 4, 3 and 1
Wolfgang Paint sealer
Wolfgang Lens/Headlight kit... worked like a champ!!

I will put the Souveran on it tomorrow after the paint sealer cures....

Wheels
Pinnacle wheel gel
Pinnacle tire gel
DP wheel glaze

Took me way to long... about five hours to do all of it.... (Hey it was 90 degrees outside.... had to keep turning the car around under the roof to work on it) That black gets hot!!!

Nice work! I know how hard it is to detail a black...
by the way, how hard is the clearcoat of new Infinitis?

Good work, looks really good. I like the 50/50 shot, makes the transformation quite notisable.

Good one

hahaha it's not that bad hahahaha...mug shots are a must...you should be proud of your work what better way to show it then to show the mug shot...well at least that's how I see it hahahaha.

Thanks for sharing and that is one sweet looking vehicle.

Nice car! How do you like the G? One of the car I might consider buying next year

Love the car.... since it has like 300hp, it gets up and moves. Not sure about the black, wanted grey when I was looking. Car is beautiful, not really wanting a black car in the desert. I compared to the Acura TL and the BMW 325..... just like the lines of the Infiniti better.

The clearcoat I don't think is hard..... the only thing I had a problem with was the depth of some of the scratches.... If I knew what I was doing, I would just say it needs this XMT # and this pad. Started way to slow and had to keep redoing the hood with a slightly more abrasive combo....

Very nice work! Love the 50/50 of the hood!
What pad combos did you use with your XMTs?

I used the XMT 4 with the yellow pad on the hood and the trunk for one pass. Most of the car was done with the green pad and XMT 3. I started with the other pads and kept working upwards until the scratches went away. I bet I made five passes before working up to the XMT 4.

The pics were with only one pass of Wolfgang Paint Sealent.... I think it looks even better now that three coats of Souveran Paste has been applied...

Thank you all for the compliments! And for every one posting info on their autos here.... I feel like I have learned ten volumes of info in the past two months. I went back and looked and I have placed seven orders from AG.... and the first one was almost $700. I kept seeing other "stuff" I need!!

Since it was really only the second car I had ever done, I was happy with the results. However, my picture taking skills need a lot of work!

Wow nice work on the G35! I'm loving that 50/50 shot. :D

The half and half shots of the hood is fantastic, a very dramatic improvement!

The funny thing was that I thought the car was fairly clean other than the sratches and swirls!!

Very nice job,in a way im glad i didnt get a black g.
