This is my first real detail. I got my flex on wednesday, never done paint correction before. Only used those $20 buffers at walmart to put wax on. Not sure if my process is right, but I'm sure someone will say so if it's not. Two bird bombs, I got probably 60-70% of it out, probably could've gotten more, but I was to paranoid about burning my paint. Took me about 2.5 days off and on. I'm too out of shape. :D

1. Wash with ajax, using gilmour foam gun set to 2 oz per gallon
2. Dryed with cobra guzzler
3. 50/50 water/alcohol mix
4. Mothers Clay Bar
5. 50/50 water/alcohol mix again
6. Meguiars Ultimate Compound flex set to 6 - orange pad
7. XMT 360 flex set to 3 - white pad
8. Meguiars Tech Wax 2.0 using hand applicator
9. Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel
10. DP Wheel Glaze
11. Stoners Glass Cleaner

Doing the interior on wednesday after I wash it again, then another coat of wax. Sorry my memory card kept giving me problems, so only one before shot. Pissed me off! After pics really don't do it justice. I didn't have my wheel brush yet so didn't get the wheel wells, and last pic was before I cleaned the wiper area. One thing I couldn't believe was how much paint correction I did with only a $10 product. When I was done, I came in turned the tv on, rain 6 of the next 7 days.

Only Ajax I ever heard of wouldn't be so good for your car. LOL

Nice job, looks amazing.

Looks good. It's amazing how much better it feels to use a good machine on the car instead of the cheap stuff.

How true, good machines and products open a whole new world to those who have been using those inferior items.

Well, if you wash it again with Ajax, you can forget that wax you just applied. Dude, buy some car soap. ANYTHING has got to be better. Ajax doesn't even rinse clean.

Come to think of it, the car I did today could have used some Ajax. Dirtiest car I've ever detailed. I don't think it's been washed in the past 2 years. And no I am not kidding. It was a hot mess. Looks a lot better now though. Client was absolutely stunned.

Long day, great results.

HAHA, that's not the ajax I used. It's a liquid like dawn. I did some test spots with wax, and some paint protectant prior, and figured I'd use that to get it off before I used the compound. My regular soap is Meguiars Gold Class.

*WHEW!* Had me worried man! I used to use Mothers back in the day. Now my weapon of choice is Poorboy's World Super Slick and Suds. Great stuff.

Nice job! Had an '05 Impala in that color; the brightest one I could buy!..................it is unique. Should have used your technique on it! :)
