Here is my first show in shine. It's my wifes brand new Jetta. Had all of 30 miles on it (requested no wash at the time of delivery) when the detail was done. On to the process/pics...

Wash:
Washed w/ Duragloss #901 via foam gun and all white/wheel shmitt's.
PB Bug Squash to remove adhesive residue from transportation plastic.
Dried w/ hose flooding and Cobra Guzzler
Meguiars Hot Shine tire gloss on the tires.
Hose Blockers on the wheels. These are soooo nice, not only for hoses but also for extension cords!

Paint:

Since the car was new it didn't require a lot of swirl removal but I wanted to start with a nice base.

Menzerna 106FF with blue edge wool with the makita @ 1500/900
Menzerna Sealing Wax with white wool (I love this pad, it doubles as a pillow!!:awesome: ) w/ makita @ 1500/900

Interior:

Glass - Stoners w/ Cobra WW Glass Towel

Oh man that looks beautiful :D I love the flake shot. The interior looks awesome too.

Looks beautiful! Love Jettas! They are SAFE compact cars, unlike those "fuel savers".
Nice color too.

Good job :D the car looks great! I really like the new jetta ;)

Thanks guys! I was glad it turned out as well as it did...especially since this is my second time with a rotary and first with wool!

Very nice, that is one fine looking vehicle. I like silver, when detailed properly it gets a nice glow to it. I really like the 50/50 picture of the 303 and the OEM well done.

Flakes popping, vehicle glimmering, interior better then new and engine bay so clean = a job well done

Question, I've noticed that new vehicles seem to get the engine compartment sprayed with something (I forgot the name of the spray) from the factory. I had this when I received my Lexus and I had a tough time removing the residue, can't recall the name but it's a yellowish colour, sticky and a paint to remove...any who did you by any chance see any thing like this in your engine compartment?

Thank you for sharing, that is a nice vehicle.

Thanks for the comments nica! It really means a lot coming from "seasoned" detailers!

Anyway, I didn't see any kind of residue on the engine at all. Maybe it's reserved for luxury vehicles.

Great job! Is it a FSI? Didn't know that VW made 2.5L petrol engines. In Europe we only got the 2.5TDI.

Dude you crack me up!!! Wanna be dust to glory shot!!! That car is bling-bling. Fantastic job!! I bow my head graciously to you.

Yea I know, I've gone the entire day trying to figure out the name again......man I hate it when I forget something...lol..best way to keep your mind sharp is to try to remember things hahahaha.

If you do remember let me know please.

FSI?? Not sure what that is...might be a US thing that offers the 2.5. My mom has a TDI w/ a diesel but it is an 03 or 04.

Yeah. VAG is calling their gas injection engines FSI. But maybe that's only in Europe. The turbo engines are called TFSI.
