08 Saturn Astra - Swirl removal

My car had swirls when I bought it new thanks to the dealer. I finally removed them last weekend with the help of a new Griot's DA.

Products:
Wash - Meguiars Deep Crystal
Meguiars Body Scrub by hand
Meguiars SwirlX - applied with Griot's DA, 5.5 inch Lake County Flat White Pad
Duragloss Bonding Agent by hand
Duragloss Total Paint Protection by hand

Chemical Guys MF Applicators
Chemical Guys Super MF towels

Thanks to Mike and everyone that provided helpful tips in the forum.

This car sits outside in Mass all of the time.

I know. I'm an all natural tire type of guy. I did clean them.

I know, but they are a must in New England. I drive route 93 every day. It's brutal out there.

I took the shot of the hood because it was the worst panel. 3 applications of SwirlX @ speed 3-4 with the Griots and the 5.5 white flat pad. If I went faster the product broke down quite fast. I did 5 passes which is lower than Mike recommends but the product was pretty much gone by then.

Awesome work. I too hate when the dealer puts those swirls on. We were not pleased with my wife's new beetle when picked it up and they said washed it for us. Swirls all over.
