Starting the Shelby with all HD. Had some issues with Adapt. Had a few areas where it seemed to gum up on the paint & was extremely difficult to wipe off. Not sure if I had too much on the pad or not enough. I put 3 or 4 pea sized drops on at 1st. Any HD vets here feel free to chime in.
Anyway, the car only has minor swirling, & HD Polish is taking care of them with ease. I've done the hood, front fenders & roof so far. HD Polish is extremely easy to work with, as is Poxy. Love the deep, wet look I'm getting.

Looking good!

That's interesting. I did a 370Z a few weeks ago, HD Polish wasn't aggressive enough and I tried numerous pad combinations. So I switched to Adapt (which was my first time using it) and the results were outstanding. I didn't get any gumming or dusting, but I did go through 5 orange pads. This was more due to my G21 heating the pads up.

But wipe off was a breeze. I used 5 pea sized drops.

This is my 2nd time using it. I was just looking on another site that sells HD, & it says to use 6-8 pea-sized drops. I was also using my 21mm long throw machine. Might try with my PC next.

Looks great.

One of my issues with HD Polish and not being as aggressive as M205. I understand it's a finishing polish. That and I have dusting issues with HD Polish. It's been sidelined ever since.

Dusting issues with HD polish ? Somethings wrong.

I have zero dusting and is really easy to use.

What kind of pad was you using ?

It could of been the heat was drying up the polish and it was gumming up on the pad.

I would give it another shot HD polish is really nice to work with.

I tried it with both a Meguiar's thin foam polishing pad and a Lake Country flat white polishing pad. Same issue on both pads. The Meguiar's pad was new out of the package. The LC pad was used once or twice.

I primed the pads based on what David Fermini posted on Autopia.

It wasn't gumming up on the pad because I didn't use it that long. I used it on about half the hood just to try it out. It also wasn't giving me the cut I needed. I switched back to M205 and I got the correction I needed. This was on my brothers car a few months back so it wasn't hot around here. It's about mid 70's most of the year where I am located. Humidity is also not an issue here in my area of So Cal.

From what I read HD Polish+ is supposed to solve this dusting issue.

From my personal experience I am not sold on HD Polish.

Really really strange, it does not sound like the characteristics of HD polish, it works super wet and you can work it till your arms fall off.

Maybe you had a defected batch ????

Not saying 205 doesn't cut better, but the issues you had does seem strange.

I am not a huge fan of HD cut tho, I do like HD polish and HD speed.

I use those polishes for more production style work.

I bought a bottle of poxy to try out, first subject was a brandnew red z06 .I applied per instructions, used a 3 inch griots red app pad and applied it thin all over the car. This was performed in side a air conditioned garage, when it came to wipe off it was like glue couldn't get it off.now I don't use it I can't have that happen again.Bought the jescar in place of it.

Adapt sticks for me as well occasionally, seems to be a combo of not enough pressure or too much product, I dunno. HD polish is perfect (as far as ease of use) even for a rookie like me.

Nice work, seems like HD Speed is the best in the range?

That's odd. One of the things I like most about HD Polish is how long I can work it with little or no dusting.

I apply Poxy with a hand applicator, mostly because of my complete inability to clean sealants (Menz PL) out of my LC foam pads. I put it on as thin as I can, give it 30-45 min & wipe it off. Comes off really easy for me.

I can't stress this enough. Especially when people claim that some of our polishing compounds gum up their pad. Right there is an indication that pads were not swapped out in a timely manner. Fresh pads = better cut and finish.

We'll never tout our finishing polish as being aggressive, but we will claim it to be the absolute best product for its intended purpose and that is final finishing. Because we had isolated cases of dusting, we decided to work on a solution and that is why HD Polish "+" was introduced. This did not effect any characteristics of the product other than virtually eliminating dusting. I hope you reconsider retrying it to see for yourself.

I used my Rupes Duetto first with a Rupes Green pad then a B & S Orange pad both with HD Polish first and got maybe 50-60% correction on the Z. Did Adapt with the Duetto and Adapt with same pads combos, just a little better on test spot. G21 and Adapt and B & S orange pads and 95% perfection.

I've been using Poxy in our Florida heat and humidity since it became available on AG and removal has been effortless not too mention sweatless on my part.

Funny too, I used the stuff you mentioned (Jescar LOL), what were they thinking, in the old name and haven't used it again in two years. I'd be happy to send it to you for free if you pay the shipping cuz it's taking up space on my shelf. PM me and we'll work it out. I believe it's Menz Poly something LOL. Or maybe we make a trade for your Poxy? My bottle of the Menz if 98% full.
