Wonderful collections in the recent thread. Seems like what I'm faced with when trying to decide on one last step sealant/wax/?. Kinda looks like my garage in some ways. Maybe you can save me time and money on my personal car. Looks/protection from scratches swirls in subsequent cleaning are my priorities - I'm willing to apply more frequently than most. Not a professional. Have a PC, but, willing to do the final step by hand.

After trying several, what is the "one and only one" you settled on for picky owners with dark cars (mine is black MB)?

All comments/help will be appreciated. Thanks.

The protection from scratches and swirls in subsequent washes does away with any traditional LSP. For that requirement, go with OC and call it a day.

I'll happily recommend Wolfgang DGPS. Protects like a sealant, looks like a nice carnauba. Very easy to use. I can't think of a single downside for the environment you're describing.

HD POXY--hybrid sealant/wax so you get the look of wax with the protection of a sealant--looks fantastic on my wife's black Golf and I'm getting 3-4 months of protection without any boosters

Best looking: Fuzion

Toughest: WGDGS

Easiest: WG Deep Gloss Liquid Seal

Once and Done: OptiCoat

If you want it simple and quick and don't mind applying it more often then use Optimum Car Wax.

Long term durability and just one choice either a Collonite or FK1000P.

CarPro Hydro2. :D

Not quite as durable as the rest, but SOOO easy to use, and sheets water very good!!
