I'm not trying to be a jerk here... Just seeing the same grammatical errors over and over and thought it would be time for a review.

This was like a spin-off of Ingloruious Basterds. I love that movie! (yeah, I spelled the title correctly. That's how it's written on the DVD)

Until this becomes Grammargeekonline.net I will stick to my very illiterate use of grammar as I was never good in language arts!

My only fault is using "i.e." instead of "e.g." almost all the time.

eh..these aren't usually always mistakes..as people are just lazy at the keyboard..no different then slang in real life.

That being said, I am willing to be the Chief of the Autogeek Spelling Police. I'm a stickler for good spelling and grammar in written communication.

:iagree: I geaux with Shane as da inforecer!

Hey now you can imagine how I struggle with english as it is not my first language; honestly I noticed how often forum members use then instead of than but I was not sure if it was really wrong due to it's common use.

I don't mind mistakes too much in a forum but you should see the emails I get at work. I work for a very large company and we work with the government and I think emails should look very professional but most of our people are too lazy to use spellcheck and have never heard the word "proofread". I thought about saving these emails and making a textbook on how not to use grammar in an email. I can really rip them apart so Shane if you get overwhelmed in your work here just let me know and I can help you.

The one that REALLY gets me is using "breaks" instead of "brakes" whan talking about those things that stop our vehicles! Jesus H. Christ, how can people be so ignorant!

There, I feel better now.

Hey I look at it this way, do you understand what I am "trying" to say? If yes then I am good with that, I did not major in English obviously but I try hard! And if you get a giggle out of my spelling issues then we are all good! I don't giggle at all of yours because I can't spot them!

It's "when" not "whan". :xyxthumbs: I don't mind a couple mistakes here and there. I do it myself sometimes. I mean it's a forum, not a english class. Some people pop back on real fast to answer a question for someone. For somethng like Mike does with his essay's, that's different story.

:iagree:

On the forum I read whatever it is I am reading quickly without taking pause to analyze whether then or than was used. Depending on how it was used it is perfectly obvious what is being said and I wouldn't think twice about it personally.
