...and not done yet!
Car: C4 Corvette Metallic Green
Car has been sitting around the shop for two years, while the owner gathered funds for a new 383 stroker :)
Got the car yesterday, and finished today. Well almost done. By looking at the pictures, you can see it was dusty and needed some serious detail
The process:
Exterior:
Washed the car with Duragloss Car Wash Shampoo
Claybarred twice with Clay Magic
Wiped down with IPA/Water 50/50 mix
Polished paint with Menzerna PO85RD3.02 with LC Orange Pad and a PC Buffer
Did another IPA/50/50 wipe down
Followed with ClearKote Red Moose Machine Glaze with Sonus Blue pad
Final coat with Rejex Paint Sealant with LC black pad
Windows cleaned with Stoners Invisible Glass Cleaner
Exterior black trim and rubber treated with Wizards Black Renew
Interior:
Leather seats got a 2-step Lexol treatment; cleaner and conditioner
Dashboard done with JW Satin Prot and Wizard
Wheels were cleaned with JW Prime, and topped with Rejex paint sealant
Tires got scrubbed with Duragloss Car Wash Shampoo, and topped with DuPont Tire Shine (owner wanted them shiny)
Still left to do...engine bay, wheel wells, and exhaust tips :eeek:
Here's some before and after pics...enjoy:

that was a VERY dirty vette! nice job on restoring it! did it have alot of swirls in it?

If Lauren or Scott see this, they might cry... Great job!

Yeah, the car had a lot of swirls, and a lot of scuff marks. Yes, it now has a 383 stroker motor in it

Wow bro, No swirls! Looks great. Post them pics when you get engine bay, wheel wells, and exhaust tips done!

lol I like the writing on the car. That was cute! It looks a ton better! You did a great job on that dirty vette. :applause:

the writing was comedy - the job= just plain excellent.

That was on dirty car. I don't care for the color but sure looks a lot better. Nice Job!

Wow. Great car. The color of that car is called Polo Green. It appears to be a 93 or 94. :)

Great job on that car! I that color is hard to work on!

Very nice turn around on that Vett, the color looks really good. I actually don't mind that color either.

Man those rims look nice and shiny.

Wheel wells ... then come back with the 'money shot'
Don't worry, you'll be the first one to know ;)
Hopefully by then, you'll have more than one post

I see a bunch of Xs, where are the pics???

Thanks guys for your kind words. It was a pleaseure to work on this vette, and to have it come out looking like that made me happy
The owner picked this car up before I was to return to finish it. I can only imagine after 2+ years he wanted his baby back soooo bad!
