Good job guys!

I've polished one other Mk6 GTI, and as usual, VW/Audi paint is HARD.

Some is, some is not. This paint was relatively soft, which is partially why the dealer jacked it up so bad. The black 2010 GTi was even more soft. The black '08 RS4 we did next (in some of the last pics) was very hard by comparison. I remember a black 2002 Jetta that was like nails. Go figure! Test sections FTW :props:

Thanks when I had the car another VW owner that was part of a local SFL VW club took them for me. I taught he did a really good job
 
This is insane !!! waoooo I never saw anything like it :props:...this is an example of detailing... I have a question where did you get the c4?

I noticed a different solution being used for the after polish foaming....care to share what that is?


Is that the tail of an M109R I see? :)

As a side note....I wonder if the damage to the wheels was from a tire (white wall) scrubber at an auto wash? The tunnel wash I used to manage had one that was basically a long spinning roller style brush that would extend out to clean tires...similar to the pic below (sorry it's so small). That thing would trash wheels!!! :(

We got the C4 directly from GTechniq in the UK. So far it is superior to all other coatings for trim, makes them more dark and more glossy. But applying any of the coatings on trim when brand new will work great as they would not need much "darkening". We tried them on Marc's GF's Saab and the C4 was the most awesome.

Thanks, Chad! Not like you aren't constantly raising the bar as well ;) You should come out and do some work with us, we might have a HUGE job soon. Think about it ;)

The new solution is actually Optimum Car Wash with some Citrus Wash left over from the previous wash. I love the OCW! It is probably the most lubricating wash ever. But it left a residue I had to struggle with before the coating. I had to spray some Adhesive and Wax remover on a plush towel and go over the whole car to clear it up. So I will try it again on a car we will not coat and see how it works. I have not heard any complaints about this so it is either a problem with the mix or the solution, or the oils that were still on the paint after polishing.

And yes, that is my M109R!! I love the bike, fast as heck, lowered, shaved signals, etc. It is scary fast! I rode it once last year, and this year twice so far. It might be up for sale if I can get a good price for it. Interested? Fly in, ride back? The darn thing gets attention everywhere! Right now it has C2 liquid over everything ;)

Not sure if the dealer here has such advanced technology ;) The tires are not stock, so I suppose it was damaged at the shop that swapped the tires out.
 
OH MY GODD!!!! u r crazy man!! really extreme harcore. if there is a word beyond hardcore it would be you!

After seeing this i feel my car need some more love =( damn...

Nice work. Can you post the process you used after filling the paint chips? What did you do with the sanding, etc? I'm an newb and have to do this on my car soon. I mean obviously you wet sanded but did you do all in the general area of the fill or just on the fill.
