11 jcw just out of body shop

NEED TO LEARN HOW TO CARE for new paint on engine hood. Black metallic with clear coat and old paint chili red hood.

Drive a lot between Malibu and Dallas through west Texas and desert.

Any suggestions:

Welcome to the forum!

New paint = don't wax for 90 - ish days. Consult with your body shop for specifics.

Beyond that, there are so many possibilities. With all that driving you may want to consider a ooating, too. Oh...and most likely some bug remover! :dblthumb2:
