Is it a good deal? I don't know. For that price you could possibly get a brand new one. Sears.com has a ton of canopy's. I got my EZ-Up 12x14 for around 90 bucks around this time of year. It is not big enough to cover a sedan and depending on how the sun is shining, only part of your car will be shaded. With that being said you just have to get creative when washing your car. If it were me, I would hold off and get it brand new.

I just bought the same one from my Sears that's going out of business. I haven't set it up yet but I bought it because I remember hearing from several AGers that 12 x 12 is a really good size to have.

I have a 10 x 10 and it is a tad bit too small, especially when working on a truck or a large SUV.

He's throwing in a Werner aluminum platform if I purchase it

I have a 10x15 and find it's a perfect size. I can set it up myself if I'm on a hard surface... on a grassy surface the legs get caught. I can do it, but a second person helps in that situation.

I'd say a 12x12 would be really helpful to someone that had nothing although a bit of the front and rear of the vehicle may/will probably stick out.

Whether or not that's a good deal or not is hard to say. The Warner platform is a nice bonus. If it were me I'd just spend the money on a new canopy to feel good knowing I didn't buy a piece of dookie. Another thing to consider is the height of the canopy vs. the height of the vehicles you plan on working on. Good luck.

He's says both iteams are new in box . I may try to offer him 60 or 70 for both items

is it a straight-leg ez up? those will actually have the same shaded area of the footprinted size(12x12 canopy will get you 12x12 of shade), be better constructed and typically run above 100 and closer to 200.

check the hinges for any bowing or deformity and the canopy itself for discoloration and tears/rips

I have no clue. I think its a sierra 2 . ?
