13,000 Kilometres begins!

Day two about to begin!

Mixed emotions today, I’m excited to check out all the happenings at Detail Fest & hang out with my good friend Don (fly07sti) & then I’m a bit gutted it’s nearly over but also I am looking forward to being home with my Wife & boys.

I’ve met some great folks here at Detail Fest so far & I’m sure today will be no different. For those forum members attending today - you see me - come & say hey. It’s my last day here folks.

Well folks, this flightless Kiwi bird has once again step foot on New Zealand soil.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to check this thread out & post up comments & to the fantastic people I met at Detail Fest be you Forum Members, Autogeek Staff or Industry folks running the vendor booths, thank you all for being a part of this journey.

Don (fly07sti) thank you for being my roommate & chillin’ our in the down times - it was great to finally meet brother.

There it is - approximately 27,500+ kilometre round trip from New Zealand to West Palm Beach Florida for Autogeeks 2018 Detail Fest & back to New Zealand again.

Thanks for shareing your awesome trip Aaryn! Seems like a lifetime experience and fun to meet up with other forum members and staff from AGO and other detailing people. Wish that I could do a trip like this in the future.

Thank you Monica, & yes - everyone I met was super nice to talk with & gave this lone Kiwi their time. I made some fantastic connections in the industry & moving forward I believe this can only be a good thing for detailing as a whole in New Zealand but for me personally - shaking hands with some of this forums members was a true highlight.

I made it to my home town of Blenheim just after 1pm yesterday (Wednesday) & made my way to our shop & set about work for the day.

I managed to hold it all together long enough to spend some quality time with my amazing family before my body gave up & bed was the place to be.
