Did a wash and wax on my sister in laws Transporter today. Black metallic paint.
Estimated about four hours and optimistically estimated I could get some scratches out as a bonus. She is an active dog owner, so the van is just a tool for her.
That van is big.
Just the washing and clay took me the better part of two hours. I started with Poorboys polish with sealant to get rid of the many small scratches and polish up some nice shine. The PwS does what it is supposed to, but when I am half way down the drivers side, I checked the time and it suddenly dawns on me the time needed to go around the whole thing.
The most important thing is protection before the winter, so I changed to M21 and concentrate on spreading a layer of sealant.
Actually M21 will remove clay marring if you just turn up the speed a bit and put some pressure on those areas.
The end result turned out very well, but I will absolutely estimate up to 50% more time than on a regular family estate car.
Pictures coming later this evening.
