14 SHO vs 14 Charger RT

I am a Ford and Dodge fan, 3 fords and 1 Dodge. No problems or issues with any of them, just normal maintenance.

The SHO with the performance pkge got some really great reviews on the track, so I am leaning towards the SHO. Also getting it for invoice minus 3500 in rebates so brings the price down around 38k, but I can get Charger for invoice minus rebates too.

And you can get all the out of warranty high repair bills that come with those used mercedez too

 I'll give ya that one. They're pretty cheap to maintain when you get OEM parts for 10% over the dealerships cost and you do all the work yourself. You definitely get bent over any time you have to take it to the dealer for non-warranty work.

All jokes aside, OP, congratulations on the future purchase of a brand new car!

SHO. Hands down. A good friend has an Explorer Sport and I love it. He's getting it tuned shortly and I'm sure it's gonna impress me so much more :)

AFAIK, Mopar is a dead end street when it comes to go-fast mods unless you spend big bucks. Another good friend of mine has a '13 Challenger, he'd tell you the same thing. I do love the Challengers so don't get me wrong, they're very sweet automobiles, but I am a forced induction kind of guy for sure :)

No SRT love  sure the aftermarket is limited, but how much more do you need with 470 ponies.

Love both 300 and Charger SRT, but there is very little movement on the price and no rebates apply to SRT models.

Let me post over on my boards, I know some guys picking up 12's and 13's for below 40!

On Looks - Charger. If you see any snow - SHO Need 4 doors for your family - SHO Ride comfort on long trips - SHO

Found a guy in PA that had a dealership selling 13's at 40k, they were 300 SRT's which hands down (IMO) are the best choice. Even the instructors at the SRT experience say its the best choice for refinement and meanness all in one. As for long trips I have clocked a trip from Cleveland, Oh to Orlando, Fl with zero complaints. Two weeks ago we did Cleveland to Baltimore. I fit, at 6'4 and 280 its not a squeeze anywhere on me.

You have the name of that dealership?

Naturally I say get the SHO just because of the turbo. I don't know if you are a tuning kind of guy, but turbo engines can have mad gains compared to NA - more bang for buck out of an ECU tune.

I like ford build quality too. Really nice cars.

Thanx for the info, but think I am going SHO. Ford is taking back my fusion early with no cost to me. Getting it for invoice minus $3750 in rebates. Now if I only had a pay check to do the deal. Thanx Congress.

Be sure to post pics when you take her home! :)

Great choice

Nice choice on the SHO. I'd recommend a tune from Livernois.

Which ford dealer did you go to?

Check out Livernois Engineering out in Dearborn MI, my buddy back home tells me of a Flex running around town that runs low 12's and its his wife's DD, gotta love twin turbo's and AWD, even makes a box on wheels FLY!
