15 detailers and 2 gallons of wax later.... B-24 Liberator "Witchcraft"

A liberated Liberater! Stupendous job, guys!

You and all involved honor all WWII veterans with this marvelous service you provided. I'm reeling just trying to imagine everything that was involved in bringing this massive project together......and all from the sound of radial engines above. Thanks to all for their selfless actions in renewing the exterior of this legendary warbird.

That was a really neat detail job. I bet you guys went through a lot of pads

And here, I've thought I seen it all. Amazing job guys. Joe you are a God among men! Such an Epic thread.

When I got the invitation from Joe to work on Witchcraft I jumped at the chance. What an amazing experience and it was great to make some new friends as part of the deal. Such an honor to work with these guys, and to be a small part of this wonderful aircraft's history. Thanks Joe!!

Wow this is some EPIC work!!!!!

Great job to all the detailers that participated!!!

Wow Joe and I thought doing the extreme makeovers we do at AG was a lot of work .

while there was mentions of "needing a wash and wax"

did you wash it? if so, how. (would have been cool to see a foam canon done to the plane with loads of clingy foam)

and why did you choose to use a spray wax rather than a dedicated wax... I assume at best the wax will wear off in 2 weeks. If cost was a problem, Collinite 845 would have better a better choice as it is cheap as well as very durable. It just seems if you guys spent all that time to polish it, might as well add some good long term protection and do the job right the first time

obviously a coating would be best but probably too costly, but a spray/wipe like Hydro2 or Prima Hydro Max would have better a better choice than D156

Rock, first of all Joe has a bit of experience at this type of thing. Second, that's a lot of real estate to do with 845 that has to be buffed. Three I'm pretty sure the choice of products had something to do with the sponsorship of the project, and four I understand D156 is pretty good stuff.

Joe that was amazing, and a great crew you had assembled to work with you, job well done!

Pure and simple: you win. Best detailing job ever. What an honor.

Great job on such a piece of real American and World history! Hats off to the whole crew on this epic project.
