1954 Buick Special - Coating Training Car for September Class

We hold our 3-day Extreme Hands-on Detailing Classes three times a year.

  1. January
  2. May
  3. September

As I type this, it's June 13th. The January and May classes have come and gone and up next is the 3-day class in September. That would be, Friday, September 27th, Saturday, September 28th and Sunday, September 29th.

One of the coolest thing you get to do when you take the 3-day class here at Autogeek in Stuart, Florida is you get to train on a LOT of cool cars. I bring in more cars than any other person or company that hold any kind of car detailing class. No one comes close to the sheer volume of cars that you get to train on. No one. In fact, you can't actually see what you get to work on for any other class because there are no pictures and beside no pictures most of the classes are academic classes, this means you sit in a chair and listen to someone talk. Love that term, academic class. Not here at Autogeek or anywhere I'm teaching. People learn best by doing, not sitting in chairs.

As I obtain cars for upcoming classes I share them on the forum and my FB page. I know people are curios about,

What do I get to do for my hard earned money?

I get it, that's why all my life I take the extra time to create posts like this so I can show you what you get to do for your money. Below is just ONE of the cars the September class will be training on. This is a very cool car and you will learn,

  1. Vehicle Pre-Inspection - how to fill out a VIF form
  2. Rinseless Wash
  3. Nanoskin Towels
  4. Paint correction including compounding and polishing
  5. How to correctly install a ceramic coatings
  6. Glass polishing
  7. Glass coatings
  8. Chrome and Stainless steel polishing

And all of the above is just on this one car. You will detail on average, 12 to 13 cars at our 3-day class. Here's just one of the cars for the upcoming September class.

This is a sweet ride but it really needs some help.

But you're looking at the above pictures and thinking,

I don't see anything wrong?

Of course you don't. The above pictures showcase the car, not the paint defects.

I ALWAYS document the before condition. I do this for all the experts that "think" they know everything.

Here's what the paint really looks like when you know how to showcase paint defects correctly. All we did was move the car out of the shade and into full sun.

And while you cannot SEE the contamination on this car I did feel it and "yes" it is contaminated. You'll see the contamination when we do a Test Spot using some detailing clay.

Just need a dozen more cars for you to train on.

Looks like a fun project..........is the Buick single stage paint, or has it been repainted with modern basecoat/clearcoat paint ?

Modern basecoat/clearcoat paint system.

This car has a LOT of mods and upgrades. I don't know all the specifics but I can get them. By brother-in-law bought this after selling his 2014 Hennessy Corvette at Barrett-Jackson.

It's the black Corvette in this picture from my review of the RUPES BigFoot 21 Mark III

My brother-in-law owes me big time....

Signed up for this class. I can't wait! Coming in from CA.

Good to hear!

I have more cars I'm working on behind the scenes. Sometimes they work out and sometimes they don't.

I'm hoping FLEX will hook up with the new CBEAST! In the past FLEX has been very good about providing their newest released tools for our class. Most of the FLEX tools in our garage were provided by Bob Eichelberg. He understands how hands-on these classes are and how many people go through our classes each year and getting your tools into peoples hand is so POWERFUL.

Glad to see you joined the forum too!

Glad I signed up for September.

Two items I really struggle with are headliners and HVAC vents. Will we get some time with those items?

The hands on with the polishers is really appealing. I almost purchased some Rupes products but held off until after the class. Maybe I decide FLEX is better for me?

This class is about 5 weeks out and almost sold out. Contact Andre and get signed-up before it's too late.

This will be the last 3-day class for 2019

We will have some VERY COOL NEW STUFF at this class and the people attending will be the FIRST to get to use it/them!

60% of the people that take ANY of our car or boat detailing classes are NOT detailers, but people that want to learn how to work on their own car or boat.

I'll show you in person,

How to make any polisher dance on paint.

Just like I showed Louise who travelled 3000 miles from Southern California to Stuart, Florida to learn how to detail her own 2014 Mustang back home.

Who attends a 3-day class at Autogeek at $1,495.00?

Here's Louise going up on edge with a RUPES BigFoot 21

If she can do it.... anyone can do it.

And YES! The training car came out PERFECT. All the cars that we use in our classes come out perfect.
