1957 Chevy Prepped for Good Guys Car Show

This truck belongs to a good friend of mines friend. He recently took it to his regular wash shop and requested them to hand wash but noticed they ran it through the tunnel instead. After getting it back home noticed it was pretty swirled up and it wasn't before then. The paint on this wasn't very soft so if this was truly one time through the tunnel, yikes. Anyways, he was convinced he needed to repaint it until my buddy gave him my number for me to work some magic on it. He wasn't too happy with the prior shop because he was getting ready to show it at the Good Guys car show in two days. Pretty basic correction with nothing special here. Other than it took 5 combo's to find what the paint liked and corrected with. Ended up with what's below.

Exterior:

• ONR Wash
• Speedy Prep Towel Fine w/Meg's Last Touch 1:1
• Meg's D300 w/Rupes 21 & Griots 3" and Meg's MF Cutting Disc
• Meg's D301 w/Rupes 21 & Griots 3" and Meg's MF Polishing Disc

PS - the Truck is on bag's with an 08 6.2L and is about to give birth to a set of twins. Pretty slick truck for sure and the interior was just as nice with original glass all the way around.

After:

The owner pulling it out to check it in the sun. He knew what to look for.

This made the owner one happy camper. He was convinced he was going to have to repaint it. lol

Thanks, Mike! Definitely going on my website once my webmaster has some time to upload them along with a few other older ones and exotics I've finished up recently. I've been a terrible board member not being able to post and keep up with things. Once I return from Arizona, I'm going to test out the denim and velvet pads to see about leveling down some of the spots where the orange peel is pretty bad. If it isn't that noticeable, I'll end up wetsanding it. rops::buffing: Thanks again for the kind words.
