1959 Chevrolet El Camino - Extreme Makeover - Modeled by Christina

Hello Christina!

Great job on the El Camino

1959ElCamino018.jpg

welcome Christina....you did an amazing job modeling this car as did Nicole.........WELCOME!

As for the car it was pretty hammered when it came in. The whole back end of the car felt like 80 grit sandpaper......covered in overspray!

After clay the car had done an amazing turn around. Smoothness as
well as a huge difference in gloss. needless to say the Pinnacle TSR did a great job removing swirls and even with the rotary and wool pads it removed the RIDS. This car made a 100% improvement after all said and done.
Al (the owner) was extremely pleased wiith the results.

As always I enjoy working on these Extreme Makeovers with all the guys and especially the "SWIRL GIRLS"

Adam and Kyle were missed but we did have a swell time.......heck, we even got to see the master (Mike Phillips) in action with a rotary and a wool pad!

Great job guys...Another winner for sure.

Welcome to AG Garage Tina :welcome:

I had never been an El Camino fan but thats a pretty sweet ride! Execellent work guys! And welcome to AG Tina!

That is a really nice car! I can imagine that was a pleasure to work on and I bet the owner was a little more than thrilled!

Oh my gosh Mike! The car turned out amazing, but, it was a bit difficult to admire with the angelic Christina modeling it!

You have delivered more than I can ask with the addition of the brunette Swirl Girls recently.

What is Christina's profession? She could have a modeling career if she doesn't already.

She has modeled for other companies, not sure who but I can ask her...

That car is absolutely beautiful, Tina definitely compliments it well.

Ya know what, I am sorry if this is inappropriate but I am going to come out and say it. She is smoking hot, probably my most favorite swirl girl with a very close tie to Nicole. Love those brunettes!

I met Tina through Nicole, they are good friends, here's Nicole with Tina...

The car came out excellent as usual Mike. I

Mama Mia. Am I allowed to have a favorite swirl girl?

Tina is dreamy

*Sigh, also*

Welcome Tina!! Very pretty and one of my favorite Swirl Girls. :dblthumb2:

Just to note...

Right after we buffed out this El Camino we buffed out the 1939 Lincoln Zephyr and processed the Zephyr pictures first and am just now getting back to the 1959 El Camino.

That said, I've uploaded and added 20 new pictures tonight and around 30 yesterday to the first page of this thread.

This was a very fun car to buff-out because just because it has a very different style to it, part car, part truck, horizontal fins, huge flat hood, flattop style roof, fender skirts, very rare hard tonneau cover.

I've buffed-out a huge variety of things in my life but I've personally never had the opportunity to buff-out a 1959 El Camino and in black...

Al the owner is also very cool... worked hard all his life now he's retired and just having fun in life and part of that is cruising around in a big block powered 1959 El Camino...

(I'll post pictures of the engine tomorrow)

Share your comments...
I'm going to send the link to this thread to Al tomorrow and then he's going to send it out to all his car buddies online... so if you have a comment about his ride please take a moment to share it...

Thanks...

Big Daddy Don Garlits
Plus Al's El Camino is tentatively scheduled to be on an episode of What's in the Garage with Big Daddy Don Garlits, so there's a very good chance you're all going to get to see and meet both Al and his El Camino on TV!

Swirl Girl #7
The only thing left to do is add the pictures of Tina our Swirl Girl for this project.

Tina's Truck
I might have Tina back with her truck for a show car makeover and have her lend a hand, it's pretty nice... so stay tuned for the rest of the story...

:xyxthumbs:

Here's just one of the reasons Cat Eye Tailights are so cool....

Here's Al leaving the studio, check out the "Cat Eye" taillights...

Thank you to everyone that worked on this project, thank you to All for trusting Autogeek with his very cool car and thank you to Tina for stopping by and lending a hand inspecting our work...

Wow! Great work on the El Camino guys! Those rear fins look very similar to the '60 Impala I did over the summer...challenging polishing those bad boys!

Welcome to the Swirl Girl team too, Tina! You complement the car very well and I definitely look forward to seeing you modeling more cars! :dblthumb2:
