1966 Shelby GT350 Hertz (all origninal survivor car) detail by Immaculate Reflections

Great job! My friend has a 68 Shelby GT350 H fully restored, green green metallic with white stripes.

Beautiful, and :yikes: on those paint readings!

I bet they were impressed with how it looked after

Congratulation on an incredible save. That has to be the finest survivor example left in the world.

Seeing how thin the paint was in places I would have been afraid to touch it.

Do you have a picture of the engine bay? I would love to see it.

Great job! What a beautiful looking car. Anybody ever see the movie "American Gangster" Frank Lucas had one of these blown up.

Now that's the type of quality I look for to achieve when polishing a car.... one day I'll get there! Great job with this phenomenal car! :dblthumb2: :dblthumb2:

Jeff,

Do have any idea how much of a classic car you worked on? Even in these economic times I suspect that car would sell for close to $220,000 or more depending on it's numbers, mileage, and authenticity.

Seriously, you did a remarkable job and it looks gorgeous. I remember seeing these cars new in 1966 at a local Ford dealers with I was a teenager....

Thanks Bobby!

The uniqueness of this car was not lost on me. I spent probably 30 min just staring at it after doing the owner's F350 King Ranch. While it is a 1 of 1,000..... being that it never went to Hertz and was owned by Shelby Execs...its pretty much a 1 of 1. I was quite honored to work on it. The owner thinks the current value may be as much as $190,000 now, but he didn't think it would appraise for over 200k. It was a stressful detail, but the reward with those sun pics was SOO worth it!

Great save!!! Did you use a rotary or DA for this job or both?

I assume you hand polished on the passenger door yes? That is a LOT of effort if you did, and with such amazing results!

That is some great work! Looking forward to seeing some pictures of the m3 as well.

Great work :applause:

What city are you located in? Noticed you have a 925 area code.

Really a great job. It was a tough job paint was too thin. Can you please tell us which product & which techniques did you used for not runnig out of paint?
