1969 AMX Wetsanding Videos - Nebraska Help in the Heartland Project

moving along pretty well, we all took a short break for some family time and I flew back east for three days. I will send some pics of progress for you guys....

Do not forget, the 90 day window will soon be upon us....

When you come back for the final polish, we will be test driving it and for the first time, it will glisten in the sunshine!!!!!!

Thanks.....

Proheader

p.s. Mike, just bought another bag of peanuts for you and Bob....lol.....

Here are a few shots that I think that you all will like.

This is an old post, but where can I get one of those awesome reflection test printouts?

Also, I'm located in Lincoln, NE, and I'm happy to help out on any nearby detailing projects!

I will update you guys on how things are coming......

stop by and see us, we are located on north 27th street ......

Stopped by after work today, met Wes, and checked out the AMX. That thing looks amazing!! Also had a chance to talk to Wes for awhile, and I can see why you all were so willing to come out and help with this build!

Nice meeting you Wes, I'm sure I'll be seeing you around!

We need some pictures! Maybe a video of this car lighting the tires up!

How about a picture of the custom headers? :xyxthumbs:

Definitely super nice and extremely generous!

It sounds like we'll have many, many projects to work on together, some detailing-related, some not. Sort of a right place, right time kinda thing.

As for the pictures, I'll see what I can do...

Are the rumors of a possible return visit correct?

"Definitely super nice and extremely generous!"

Good to know as I need a set of custom headers for my 355 SB with a 671 blower, Rack-n-pinion and front motor plate 57 Chevy so far unsanctioned tribute build to Bruce Springsteen`s song "Born to Run".The song was based on a 57 Chevy and was written shortly before Bruce and I became neighbors in 1975 and parked both our cars next to each others.(Correction... I parked my car next to his).I still have family members close to the Springsteen camp that might get the trunk lid signed by Bruce if I can ever finish this long over due black with old-school flames build.

Hey guys, glad to be back on the forum after just about killing myself the last few months. Lots going on and even more getting done lately. We took a little time away from the project for a few other things. But, I am now back in full swing to finish it up....

I will download the camera and "throw you dogs a few bones"........

Will try and post them Friday night after leaving the shop.....

Great to see all you guys again, its like we are one big family in the detailing world....

Wes

I have a '68 AMC Javelin SST project that has been sitting untouched for a couple years. This tread makes me feel guilty for neglecting it!!

Okay guys, as you notice it is way too late to be up but I will post a few updated pics and give you the latest run down.....

After the show, many things went on in life and with the car. Lost three family members this year already, some of the original team parted ways, we took some time away from the car to catch up on other things which totally did not get caught up on but we pushed through it all to get back to work on the car......

Here are a few pics of what has been happening lately .......

we got the dynamat inside the car...

then we went to work on adding the engine and tranny back in the car....

then we got the wheels and tires along with the brakes on the car.....
