I did this beautiful ride last fall. Owner had just brought it home from the Barrett Jackson auction. I was honored to get the call for some minor paint correction and a proper shine.:xyxthumbs:

Nice work. I take my chevelle to a lot of shows and its amazing how many well restored show cars can be so swirled up and neglected. You would think that after a high dollar restoration you would educate yourself on how to keep your investment top notch.

A gorgeous legend to work on and all done with a little Porter Cable 7424.....:applause:

Beautiful work and thanks for some great photos!! :dblthumb2:

Very nice work on some good ole Detroit iron! Like your signature quote also. Did you ever see the youtube video? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsSC2vx7zFQ]How Bad Do You Want It? (Success) HD - YouTube[/video]

Nice job dude! That thing brings back memories for sure. Older sister had a yellow n black version of it when I was 19, cool car indeed.

I second the comments that it's a crying shame that people will spend a small fortune to restore, purchase and keep classic cars but have no idea how to maintain the paint. My neighbor for instance has a Chevelle, a Road Runner, several Vettes and tons of others including a brand new Viper. The Viper is the only one that the paint isn't swirled up yet!

Do you think the selling price would have been higher if you had worked on the finish before the auction?

I am always surprised at how badly some of the worlds most desirable cars show at an auction. Even a good glaze would have been a huge help with some cars. A lot of owners leave thousands of dollars on the table by not having their cars in the best possible condition before selling them.
