1970 El Camino 63,000 original miles

My first car was a 79 elco....that I got in 1986!!!.....heart still skips a beat everytime i see one.....sweet job!!! I love it when you guys report the milage on the vehicles.

Thanks for the positive comments...thats why I took a picture of the Odometer reading (63,000) miles....blew me away...car is 40 years old....hated turning that back into the owner....it was fun to drive....they don't make them like that anymore.
 
A friend of mine had one just like it and wanted to go racing so we cut it up. anything that didn't have red paint on it went in the junk pile. We built a tube chassis, tubbed and narrowed rear w 4 link and a large up front. Ran low 9s. We had a lot of fun with that car.

You can tell by the "orangish" color that it is probably oxidation city. I the red color would totally come through with a good polish.

Wow...I love those old cars....expecially the sound when you crank them up.....

Its not a Red Car.......never was a Red Car...........it has always been Orange...not sure where you saw it being red....thanks for the compliment though....
