Hi Mike,

Initially, were you and Tyler color sanding or sanding the clear coat?

My guess would be sanding the orange peal in the initial clear coat then re-clear for a glass like finish....:props:

Yes. We sanded theinitiall coats of clear flat to remove the orange peel and really get the paint flat. I have some really good pictures to show the process from start to finish I just need to get them up on the gallery.


This is a great practice car for people new to machine sanding and buffing as the panels are for the most part flat. There's still some curves and tight areas that will need to be dealt with but with the 3" Griot's as a sander and 3" wool cutting pads it will still won't be a complicated project. Perfect for a class.
