Now that's cool. What a treat to work on. Cant wait to see how this one and the others turn out. Nothing short of spectacular for sure.

Wow, that paint is hammered, Mike! Can't wait to see it after.

When the owner and his wife dropped it off the owner's wife commented about how she didn't think the paint looked that bad on the Chevelle or any of the cars.

Then I put a swirl finder light on the Chevelle, the 1950 Ford, the 2007 SRT SuperBird and the 1949 Cadillac and explained that in order to evaluate the true condition of a car's paint you have to know how to properly inspect it.

Not only do all of these cars have swirls and scratches, I've already done the Baggie Test on all 4 of these cars and they are all heavily contaminated.

We'll be using multiple methods to decontaminate the paint.

Mike,
Does that Chevelle have a set of non-factory speakers in the back deck? If so, what kind are they? Stereo brand?

This car is looking very familiar, but I'm thinking the color is a little darker than the car I'm thinking of?

This right here, Mike, is a perfect example of why it's so important to take the "before" pictures correctly. In the first picture, the car looks to be in good shape. You can take 500 pictures of a car but if you don't capture the defects your after pictures are not nearly as valuable.

I always try to get the before shots.

Going to be a very busy three days starting tomorrow.

Normally the week after the class I do my best to get up pictures showing the,

  • Before
  • During
  • After
For each project and tool set but next few weeks I have other hot projects for SEMA and Competition Ready that's going to take up all my time.

:)

That looks like it's going to be a lot of fun!

wow this car was so amazzzing to polish.. what a treat.....

awesome vehicle...love the color

To show case the RUPES tools and paint polishing system, (it is a complete system), and as a favor to my friends at RUPES I always bring in really cool cars for my RUPES detailing classes.

Here's the car for the RUPES Detailing Class in May - Kind of the kissing cousin to the 1971 Chevelle and the paint on this GTO is HAMMERED!

Guess RUPES is going to be tested to the max by my class....
