It a track car
It is a 1972 bmw 2002 tii
Color of paint is called colorado

The Wash

Optimum car wash. I also clayed at the same time, wash panel rinse. Rewash and clay hose off. There were some contaminants that remained. That would not come off.
Dried with the guzzler.

The Interior

Vaccummed carpet/ seats/ air vents. On the vinyl (25 year old vinyl) I used the DP Interior Surface Protectant. I was amazed at what it did.

The Gameplan

The edge green pad and PB PwS. 2-4 pea size dots per section. Remember those contaminants that remained after claying. Well they are gone. PwS worked great.

The Final

Pinnacle Liquid Souveran applied to whole car then removed

Tires received NoTouch

Looks like they had house guests.

Looks good how did the PwS do with the light scratches and swirls

Love those old BMWs

It looks like new again. Long time since last detail on that one?

Very nice detail, really like the color...well it could grow on me. I like the before and after pictures, very nice work buddy and I really like the write up very informative.

Thank you for sharing.

Wow, I'm really amazed how it came out. She's beautiful! I would love to have something like that. Awesome work!:applause:
Is that the original paint?
DP Interior Surface Protectant, is it dry to the touch?
Reflection is awesome!

Nice work, on a very nice color.

Look's a little to nice for a track car :D

Sweet! What a great job you did. I can't believe the interior looks so good after you finished. I've always like that style BMW. How long did you wait to but the wax on top of the PWS? The PB PWS is the Polish with Sealant, right? Did you apply anything on the inside door panels?

Weird color, but it definetly looks nice! Great job!

that thing looks great! my brother actually just bought a 1976 2002 in pastel blue, fun car to drive but the motor just crapped out like 2 weeks after he bought it so in goes an m42, atleast thats the plan

The DP looked like when he just put it on. It looks wet when first put on. After a little bit it will dry and go matte. =/

It did ok, I should have used the yellow edge pad, I think it would have done a little better

He had it repainted, and it was wet sanded, it was dry to the touch. It stayed that rich color the whole time I was there

I think it was like 10min before i put it on, no I didn't put anything on the door panels. They are not on the car doors, just the frame.

It stayed that way the whole time, not sure why. Since it does go to a matte finish

Thanks everyone else

Nice Job! It's been a while since I've seen a bimmer that old.

That car is such a classic, you made that "orange" paint really stand out!

Looks fantastic. I think the color is cool. I can't believe the interior - wow. i think I need to buy that DP for interiors. Simply AMAZING interior door!
