1972 Challenger - Foam Pads - Meguiar's Microfiber Compound & Polish/Wax - Single Stage Black Paint

What the compound cut like on a foam pad versus M105? Thanks.

Less aggressive, longer buffing cycle or play time.

M105 is rated at being able to remove #1200 Grit Sanding Marks on fresh paint, with a wool pad on a rotary buffer. That's pretty aggressive considering how nice it will finish out.

Everyone needs to keep in mind the target market this system is formulated for and that's production detailing on factory paint, not show car detailing on any paint.

:D

Just realized while answering a question in another post I never added the after pictures to this thread...

That's a beautiful car and one of my favorite colors. You did an amazing job. I'm going to start saving all these great pics I see on the forum into a folder to make a nice screensaver....

Detailing has really taught me to appreciate the auto as an art-form. I love watching the mecum auctions now just to see all the amazing cars.

Ah.... I just moved the polisher over the paint, the abrasive technology did all the real work.

I should have done that 10 years ago.... I've buffed out a LOT of cars here at Autogeek since 2009.

I'll be working with Mecum Auctions coming up in January of 2020
