Today's visitor to the shop was a 1974 Jeep. The Jeep is a beach cruiser and has been in storage for nearly a year. It was recently sold and the owner wanted it cleaned up prior to delivery. When it arrived at the Art of Shine, Shine Mahal, it was covered in overspray, chipping paint and to top it off, it appears that it was painted with a rattle can. But, the owner was aware of the issues of machine polishing and absolved me of all liability if I destroy it.

This was not an extreme makeover and just a clean up of the paint as best as I could get it. Again, paint was too unstable to be any more aggressive than a black LC pad and XMT 360.

Process and Products:
ONR wash via 2BM with Grit Guards
Clay with Megs clay and Wolfgang Clay Lube
Washed again with ONR
Dried with Cobra Guzzler HD
Machine polish with PC 7424
Lake Country black pad (NOTE: Paint was too damaged to attempt anything more aggressive)
XMT 360

Very nice Ed! That was a great candidate for CG Glossworkz Glaze after XMT360.

Looks great Ed!
The owner must have been very happy with the results and was probably second guessing his decision to sell the Jeep.

It's funny you say that Buddy. When the client picked it up last night he had this look on his face like I just kicked his dog. He was definitely having sellers remorse! I will tackle his T-Bucket and Studebacker pick up truck next.

I was over at the Jeep owners house today doing a VIN verification for another one of his cars and I asked how the sale went. He sold the Jeep for full asking price and said that the only reason that happened was because of the polishing job performed by The Art of Shine. A good ego boost indeed.
