This vehicle belongs to a client of mine in Ventnor, NJ. He's a cool guy that understands what goes in to paint correction. This vehicle was done over the course of 2 days at 8 hours per day. He built this vehicle pretty much from scratch, and the paint was showing it's age. It's garage kept, but after 10 years of wiping down before shows and a few improper details from some other "pros", I had quite a bit of work on my plate. The clearcoat was rather hard and there were some deep RIDS in the paint. This is a show car, that only drives to and from shows, so we looked for as close to perfection as possible...and we will be setting up a schedule to keep it perfect.

Products Used:
Adam's Car Shampoo
Adam's All Purpose Cleaner
Adam's Glass Cleaner
Meguiar's M105
Meguiar's M205
Metal polish(forget the name and brand...it was the customer's that he swears by and he's ordering a bottle for me...it was GREAT!)
Chemical Guys Blacklight
Chemical Guys Lava
Chemical Guys V7 Hybrid
Adam's sVRT
Chemical Guy's Bare Bones Undercarriage Spray
Adam's In and Out Spray
ONR(clay lube)
Adam's Clay Bar
ONR(detail spray)

Just received the best phone call possible..."Hey Ant, just checkin' in with ya', we won first place modified!"

This was regarding a Corvette-Only show this past weekend, such exciting news!

Great job Anthony. From the pictures the award was well deserved.

Dam that looks sweet top job :dblthumb2::dblthumb2::dblthumb2:

Nothing like some American muscle. Car looks awesome and congrats on the first place. I would throw that up on your website :D

Wow incredible work. What were the machines for the process? Im guessing rotory with the M105?

Also didnt see what pads were used.

I would love to know the name of the metal polish if you find out! Wow!!

What a great looking Corvette. A real turn around.

Do you have a straight down picture of the mural on the hood? I would love to see a better picture of it. I am a big fan of airbrushing.

COME ON!!! Those are the same wheels??? WOWWWW
He did a great job on the wheels. Unfortunately you can see the finish is pretty much the same around the valve stem. That area is really hard to get. You need to wrap arag around a popsicle stick to polish it.
Phenomenal job on the whole car, really, especially the paint. That paint looked pretty trashed to be a show car to me. It's hard to believe the car wasn't driven regularly.

To the OP: Your detail pics are great, but I think a few shots far enough back to see the whole car would be nice, too.

Nice eagle mural on the hood. It looks like there might be a woman standing on a mountain in a red dress. I see a Daytona hood and a 1980 type rear bumper, too. Those 1980 rear bumpers look better than the 76s IMO. I also really like the Daytona front bumper on these cars, but that isn't here.
Congrats on the trophy. It was well earned.

Great job! Glad to hear it's getting on a regular schedule with you.

Fantastic work!!!!! That is some great work. Glad to see your hard work paid off and made that car look great!!!

Thanks for the kind words guys! The customer was very pleased with the work...and is excited to see it look like this regularly.

The airbrush really isn't MY thing, but it was pretty damn neat! I believe I have some good shots of it.

As for the wheels, this was only about 10 minutes spent per wheel, I didn't even charge the customer for it(which I think in turn earned me a life-long customer, which is worth more to me anyway). In the future details since we have our foot in the door with the vehicle reconditioning, I will go more in depth with polishing the wheels and pipes on the car. But that's for the tip about the valve stem, I will be utilizing it for sure!

And yes...the paint was TRASHED, partly due to improper wipe-downs...but he had it "detailed" for $250 by a "high-end" detailer in his town just about a month before me. I was actually embarrassed that he called himself a detailer...while there were minimal holograms...it was some damn shoddy work. I'm glad I have a customer who appreciates and understands my work, and he's glad he has someone he can trust to take good care of his car.

As for the full vehicle shots, I have some! Didn't even realize I didn't really post any. There's really only front and rear shots as the workspace didn't allow for much more...but ill upload some shots tomorrow, along with some shots of the mural!

Thanks again for the awesome words!

You did a great job on the detail and made a dated modified Corvette looks its best.

I have to comment on the job you did, stunning work!!! That paint was hit, as were the early 90's billet wheels and can I ask what the h-e double hockey sticks is on the hood? Was that car a fall back from "Corvette Summer", if so, did Mark Hammel sign it, LOL!

I had a '76 Stingray a ways back. The last thing I remember about it was

my wife saying "honey, sell your vette and let's build a house. You can get

another vette when we're done." It's ok though because it was no where

near as nice as this vette. Nice job!!
