Hello All,
Life has been kicking me here...
I am sanding down the hood for it's third painting. First time, everything was set, shop clean, hood cleaned, tacked, paint mixed. Just as I first pulled the trigger on the paint gun, the neighbor started bush hogging the lot next door... Looked like you broadcast a handful of grass seed across the hood... Second time, I got some contamination in the paint, fish-eyes, no Shark-eyes every two inches... Maybe the third time will be the charm.
I did do something of worth, put a screen under the cowl vent to keep junk from stopping up the weeps in the lower inner fenders. These Jeeps rust the floors out by the weeps getting stopped up. I attached the screen with AV gasket sealer, cutting the nozzle at almost a 90* angle, and squirting it through the screen until it filled up the cavity below.
