Hey guys,
Haven't been posting any of my recent cars but figured I'd post this one since it's pretty cool. I was asked to do a 1980's Lotus Esprit today. Car had been repainted and shot with clear coat. Not sure how long ago.

Owner wanted just a one-step polish done and no other work so I didn't do the interior, or engine bay, etc.

Process and products:
-Washed with CG Citrus wash
-Clayed with CG clay lube and Nanoskin medium sponge
-Polish using FG400 and LC white hybrid polishing pad on my Flex 3401
-Wiped down with CarPro Eraser
-Sealed with Wolfgang Spritz Sealant
-Treated rear window valance with CarPro pearl (first time using it and I was really impressed!)

Thanks everyone! It does corner quite well. Funny thing is the power curve. Turbos don't kick in until 4-5k then it pulls pretty good. Fun car!

Looking good. Very cool car. I spy a clean little Alfa in the garage as well

Yup Alfa spider in the back as well that he wants me to do tomorrow. We'll see if I have time though before I leave

The paint looks too good for 1980, 4-cylinders, 170 HP, 2.2L engine car. ( Later turbo version had 8-cylinders, 3.5L engine, 260 HP & from 0-100km/h in 4.7 sec !)
Your results are even more impressive since I think this Lotus body is made from plastic & that's much more difficult to work with than the metal. You gave this car what it deserves, thanks.

It reminds me of being a teenager and wanting one!

Awesome work sir

That's true of most 80's cars.

The very late versions made 350 hp, they really worked their way up. That said though, look how far we've come since 2003 or 04 when the Espirit went away, 350 hp twin turbo V8, you've got 2.3L turbo's making 310 HP w/ a single turbo and 2.0L turbo's making 305 HP w/ the STI.

I highly appreciate your deep knowledge about the automobiles, always a pleasure to read your input. Your classy name says it all.
Again, this Lotus will make any vintage cars collection look more valuable (even if such cars go for pennies) & it must be a pleasure cruising in one.
Hokie335i brought here a dinosaur, I hope all enjoy seeing it so black & inviting.

Thank you Shark👍
